I have pain on the side of my foot.  It hurts to walk a bit and I walk for exercise.  I wore a pair of runnung shoes I shouldn't have.  I had worn them before and they caused my foot to roll over somewhat.  I thought that might have changed and I tried them again, a mistake!

I wonder if RA makes things more sensitive.
Anyway, I looked my symptoms up and  I think I have tendonitis.

My question is shouldf I make an appointment with my RD or with a podiatrist?

Any input would be appreciated!  I think a cortisone shot might help even though I'm afraid it would really hurt.

My RD said anything not directly RA related should be handled by another physician, so I would say see a podiatrist.  Of course, you should give him you RA history, but he would be better qualified to deal with your present and future foot issues.  I hope you get relief soon.

And don't beat yourself up about trying those shoes again.  Sometimes we just need to try something again, to be sure the first occurence wasn't just some sort of coincidence.  Or, like you said, there could have been a change.  Now you know you have to stay away from those shoes, period.

Thanks so much for the reply,  I was leaning toward seeing a podiatrist and you've helped me with my decision.  Thanks again.hi Dotty i think it would be really good if the ra doc could deal whith
the issues we have as they all seem connected to ra
i hope you get your feet sorted..

Boney  Thanks Boney, I'm going to try a short walk tomorrow and then try to sort things out.
