I was wondering if you found anything more about your stepson this weekend. I hope he is doing better! (I didn't pm, because I think others would be interested!)
Thanks for thinking of us, Suzanne. It's actually this coming weekend that we'll see him when we visit my step-daughter after her cochlear implant surgery (she'll be recuperating at her mother's because it's nearby). Maybe we'll hear something in the meantime, but based on history, that's not too likely. Thanks for replying, and I'm so sorry to hear your step-daughter is facing surgery, too! It sounds like a surgery that will definitely change things for the better, but it has got to be so hard on everyone, with so much going on! I hope everything turns out okay for everyone.
Just an update, on my stepdaughter at least. She had the surgery this morning (4.5 hours!! ) and came through it fine. She's resting comfortably at her mother's house and we'll probably talk to her tomorrow because I think she's pretty tired and woozy. Still planning to visit on Sunday and also to hopefully find out more about what's going on with my stepson.
I'm so glad her surgery went well. I hope when you see your stepson, he has had some improvement, too!
