I took my daughter ( she 14) to drs today with chest pains and breathlessness, he sent her to A&E(ER) , we were seen by a nurse who administered pain relief and when i left the hospital after 4hours she still hadnt been seen by a doctor. I had to come home for my meds and my husband is with her at the moment, i will be going back in a bit. Its disgusting that with serious complaints that the waiting time for this is so long. My husband has complained and all they have said is "we will be with you in a bit"....... I am off there again now so we'll see whats being done.Let us know how she is. Prayers going up that everything will be OK.Good luck!  I hope you can get her seen ASAP and get resolution!!!!!! Throw a fit!I am surprised you had to wait so long, when you were sent to the ER by a doctor!  I hope everything is okay and she is doing better by now.  Please let us know!  Take care. so sorry to hear of your struggles for you daughter.  hope everything works out o'k.You Know what Pin !  They sure won't wait for you to pay the bill they will send it to the collection agency.   I am really sorry to hear about your daughter.  I am not sure why they are giving pain med's when they don't even know whats wroug."Not that I want to see her in pain"  of coarse not .  I should shut up because this is really making me mad she is a child they need to tend to her!!!!!!sorry your young one is having this issue.. and the ER is not addressing her in a timely manner..  I too don't understand the medication before DX...

Wishing you all the best!  Prayers to you.

When I went to the ER for my stroke... I told them my symptoms... numbnesss &  Tingling in my left arm, shortness of breath, and lightheadedness... and you know what they said to me? Ok... wait out in the waiting area... we have 2 more in front of you. Yeah! I sat out there for 30 mins. By then all my symptoms had gotten worse. But did they care? NO!
Hi to all, thanks for the concern over my daughter, the hospital was not much help at all. when I got back there she had been seen my a doctor (my G.P. had asked for E.C.G. Bloods and chest xray) nothing was done in the way of tests, the doctor at A&E decided she may have a touch of asthma and told us to take her back to the G.P. and get a prescription for an inhaler????????????????????? We have an appointment with our G.P. this morning and im hoping to get referred to the hospital where i see my rheumy as they are fantastic, I will keep you posted.hi pincushion just realised you are uk based.. duh  We have been back to the doctors and my daughter had an E.C.G Which was clear, she definetly doesnt have asthma as the hospital diagnosed. We have had bloods done and are waiting for the results. She has been given something for the breathlessness which seems better today.Poor thing- is she scared?
