Oh I have been reading up on heart probs, many thanks to all that sent me links. <sigh> this heart stuff is bad news.

Oh so fun!!!!!! I wonder what my RD is going to have to say about this.
YIKES! this is scary! I am sure I will grow accustomed to it though, just liek the RA and fibro dx.
Jode, I am so sorry you have all these problems to deal with.  Apparently they didn't get the memo that you have enough to deal with!

I know finding out all about it can be scary, but I know I handle it better when I know more about what's going on.  Give yourself time to adjust.  I'm going to send some peaceful, calming energy your way ~ ~ ~
Jode, you need to stay positive.  You've been given a chance to get these issues fixed before they get worse.  My husband was not supposed to live long enough to leave the hospital... and the doctors told me that if he did survive, he would probably have to live in a nursing home.  He was without oxygen for a few minutes when he suffered cardiac arrest.  He still has a bit of a short term memory problem.  He has MASSIVE damage to the left side of the heart.  But for the most part, he lives a completely normal life.  He's a senior manager, the father of two boys, and a loving husband.  He was given a second chance at life... and SO WERE YOU!!!!  You can get these issues addressed BEFORE you suffer a massive heart attack or stroke.

THankyou......and nope, nobody got the memo that I have had enough!

Like I said this was a fluke dx which is good. IT is all because of a chest xray, hard telling what all else will be found. Not sure what to do about the kidney stone and me taking calcium, not sure if that is an issue or not.......like I said, I am going to let the Dr.'s firgure all this out.
Another happy ending heart story

20 years ago my mom had a massive heart attack, then another, then another all in a 24 hr. period of time. Had to paddle her all three times. She was on a respirator, in a medicine induce coma because she started seizing uncontrollably.
After she "recovered" she had so much damage to the left side of her heart prognosis is that she would only walk from the bed to a chair.
She did better than that but was not terribly healthy. 2 years later chest pains sent her to the ER where they found 4 blocked arteries. They did emergency quad bypass.
She became a new woman!!!! 20 years later at the age of 80 she has more energy and stamina then I do!
Medicine has advanced so much in 20 years-have faith that you will be OK! All the best to you!
