Seeing my RD today........  Discovered this yesterday.. It WAS a little itchy at first.. today it's tender.....  under the skin..  Am I worrying unnecessarily??

am I going to have to stop enbrel?

is this something serious?

there ARE lymph glands there..

damn.. I'm scared today...

babs102008-05-23 08:26:16I wouldn't ignore it, but it's probably nothing.  Sometimes they swell during an infection and never go all the way back down.  I have two pea sized lymph glands in my neck, had them for years and years.  Mention it to the doc though, just to be safe.babs. definitely check it out. like linda says, it may be nothing but at least it will put your mind at ease. people can have swollen nodes but it does not mean that something bad is going on. i have never heard of a node itching. if the node is soft and moves easily, that is normal. if it is hard and pretty fixed under the skin, then it is more worrisome. please keep us posted. I echo being safe and mentioning it. There are lymph nodes there but I never heard of them being itchy either.

Best of luck that it's just a nusiance problem and nothing serious. Let us know.
An ingrown hair might itch at first and then form a small lump. Let the doc decide. thanks.. sorry for the worrries.

He said watch it.. probably ingrown or follicular situation...

I'm doing great he said.. all blood work came back great!!
Yay, that's great news Babs - now you can relax and not worry about anything over the weekend!Good to hear, Babs! Babs10,

So glad you checked out okay!  When we are on these drugs, I think we all have the tendancy to blame anything unusual on one drug or the other.  There is so much more involved than just what the problem may be; the real issue is whether we might have to discontinue a drug that is working for us.  Anyway.....have a great weekend and  know that you are fine!
