Arthritis Information -New .... with combo diagnosis

Hi,

I must say that finding this site has been a godsend!  One begins to think that many of the things happening to me are all in my imagination!!!!
Over the last 18months I've been diagnosed with diabetes, myeloma (cancer of the plasma cells) and RA.  Sometimes I don't know what symptom belongs to what - all I know is that I feel like an extremely old woman who is frustrated at not being able to do what I could do 2 years ago -  and trying to do it all through fogged brain.
I'm on Diabex, Methotrexate, folic acid, copious amounts of panadeine forte (not coming close to covering pain levels even though I have a high pain tolerance).  Was on prednisone but had to come off that because it was playing havoc with my blood sugar levels.
It all seems to be so much of a balancing act with some good days and some rotten days.
What this site has shown me is the courage that exists in people everywhere and how much encouragement and support can mean.  Thank you all for your courage to share the downs as well as the ups.
Hi Greenfrog and welcome to the forum.  The last 18 months haven't been kind to you and I'm so sorry for everything that's happened to you.  Keep posting so we know how you're doing.  Lindy LinB2008-05-26 21:26:58
