What is your drug of choice?? I went to my doctor this week and she feels that the Humira does not have the RA under control. I am also on Avara and Mobic. I have only been on the Avara a couple of weeks so I don't know if it is working yet. My doctor wants me to go on the Humira every week for a couple of months. If that does not work she wants me to go on Remicade or Orcenia. I don't know if I am mentally ready for that. X-rays of my hands show changes and my blood work is thru the roof (those were her words). Any feedback would be great. I have done both. I am currently on Orencia. Remicade worked great for me for 2+ yrs. Insurance might make the decision for you. They tend to monitor the biologics and often have their own ideas in the drug order. Remicade was nice as orginally I only had to go in every 8 weeks, and then ended up going every six. Orenica is once a month. This is hard for me as I have to teach a month to get a sick day. So, I use the day as soon as I get it and I have nothing built up.
Wait and see if the Humira kicks in. If not, check on what copays would be for each med. As for what works better, each person will have a different story.
