Why i wonder would a doctor feel the need to want to change my pain meds when i am at my worst? Are they so afraid i maybe functioning. Actually I have been having such a hard time and it is just not my fault. But at the very least i would like to ask the medical community to concider that we have a right to walk.

I function alright but not perfectly on five mg of vicoden three times daily and ten mg of pred. That was working while on the MTX. I have no idea what is to come, scince the allergic reaction.

Oh i have to go see another doc and i have about two days of pain meds left. Any way i am allergic to Tramadol and Darvocet. So the guy gives me Esgic. Which is for headaches. Plus not the thing for people on Prednisone.

Do you ever want to tell the doctors you are misserable but not ready to die just yet. I think some times they are just trying to knock me off.

Anyway any how. My functioning maybe interupted. I had to increase the pred do to allergic reaction. I hate to much pred. Oh it is good for flaring but not for functioning mentally. I will be alright for a bit on a higher dose of pred and then wammy. I see a crying spell in the future. LOL I am a phsycic. Anyway dentist tommorrow. Almost got the teeth all fixed. Not sure how bad or expensive this one will be. Just my vent. Doctor vents. LOL I was sitting out on the deck and rambling yesterday. My brother said what are you doing? I said just recovering from doctor trama. I am often just in shock when i get home from a doc visit. I honestly suffer from a medical disorder that is not ever talked about it is called doc shock trama. It makes your jaw drop to the floor and your hands fly up in the air and you say words like jerk and idiot. LOL
I am so sorry you are so frustrated.  I too suffer from "doc shock trauma".  I start having semi-panic attacks before the doctor appointment because I am so afraid of the news I could get.

As for the doctors taking you off the pain medication, I am guessing that they are worried about long term/daily use of pain medication.  I found this article online, as I was interested in the topic.  The article is a little old but I believe the core information is probably accurate.  Hope it helps: http://arthritis.about.com/od/analgesic/f/painmedications.htm
I am sorry, Milly. I hope things get better for you really soon. I was wondering about you, but figured you were still not feeling well.

Much hugs to you!
