Hi everyone.  My name is Linzee and I have had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since I was 2 years old.  I am now 21.  Life with arthritis has been quite complicated.  Throw in all of my arthritis related vision problems and I am a doctors dream!   I am currently on Cellcept and Humira to control my arthritis.  I just did my Humira... ouch.  Hope I can help as well as be helped. Hey Linzee Welcome! Im 20, had JRA since i was 8....also been on humira but had a reaction, so im back on mtx and enbrel....waiting for a new drug to come out...anyway feel free to message me! love to talkMy daughter is 9 and we just found out she has been living with JRA for a really long time. She never complained about pain or aches, she just really stunk at shoe tying and buttons and we thought she was just naturally puffy. When she couldn't compensate anymore, the ped. finally started running tests. She takes enbrel and methotrexate now. So far they've been great! She's really worried lately about having arthritis when she's really old "like 12". Any encouragement? I don't know what to tell her.Tell her that it's hard and lame sometimes to have it, but it doesn't control her life. Try to find ways for her to stay physically fit that don't hurt her and encourage her there. I gained weight as a teen because I didn't have anything that I could do. She is not alone and even though she will struggle and the pain and swelling and stiffness are no fun, she can still do anything she dreams of. It's a detour, not a roadblock.Wow I am really glad to have found this place! I have had JRA sense I was 6. I am now 21. I have been on Embrel sense I started high school. It works pretty good but I have been wondering about other injections and if they would work better. Those who are on humira and also have been on Enbrel. Can you tell a diffrence in the two?
