Brain fog made me do it!

Just this minute I remembered that before I have my SI joint injections with sedation tomorrow, that I was supposed to stop my NSAID and multi-vitamin for several days.  I cannot believe I forgot, after all I've done this twice recently for the lumbar epidurals.  I blame brain fog, excess pain and family stress.  And I am totally embarrassed.

Part of me feels like the meds shouldn't be a big deal for injections, after all lots of my other meds (that they don't want me to stop) prevent clotting, but I know the doc isn't going to want to do it now.  When their office gets back from lunch I'll have to call.

I hate having to reschedule appts and procedures, especially if it's because I did something stoopid.  And rescheduling this means rescheduling the follow-up appts with this doc and another doc.  Bleh!
Dang brain fog- gets me every time too! Don't feel stupid- we can't help it

OK, feeling much better because I talked to the doc and he said it was OK as long as I don't take more.  He said it would have made a difference for the epidural, but it's ok for the joint injections (which is what I would have thought, but then why give the instructions to begin with?).  Anyway, I'm happy I can still get them tomorrow.

Meanwhile I've noticed all sorts of worsening brain fog symptoms lately, so I think I'll try to stay away from anything important right now.  I asked my RD at my last visit if that could be a side effect of the Orencia (since the effect has gotten worse lately), but he said no, it's the inflammation.  Oh, my brain hurts. Glad to hear you won't have to postpone!

I noticed I can't spell anymore and that used to be one of my strong points. I think I can attribute that to brain fog. If I'm reading something lengthy and complicated- I just shut down.  It makes me feel like I can't learn new things anymore. I wish they would develop an alert drug for us to counteract the RA meds or the inflammation that is causing this nusiance!

Ditto x 4.

There is an "alert" drug although I'm not sure it helps with brain fog per se, and that's Provigil.  But getting the inflammation down would be much, much better.

Oh man I am going to google that- I never heard of it- thanks!

My inflammation levels according to my last blood work were relatively low...maybe I don't have an excuse....
