I don't know if that's the right word to use...

Has this ever happened to anyone? I have some mild swelling in my hands, wrists and ankles but my calves, thighs, belly and arms seem to be swelled up. It looks like 10 or 15 lbs. jumped on me but there is no way that could have happened.

Can I be retaining water in these areas?

This is not the first time I have seen this happen-

Meanwhile I feel fat and uncomfortable in my clothes.
the places you mentioned are standard places for water retention.  are you seeing a pattern in the occurancesIt hasn't happened since my onset- I hope I'm not in for my 1st flare [QUOTE=wanttobeRAfree]I don't know if that's the right word to use... You can get water retention, this is something you need to see your doctor about.  I have swelling from head to toe that is in the muscles.  I see my rhummy early July to talk about my muscles.

But, see your doctor and have them look at it to make sure it isn't a form of mytosis.
I'm not on any NSAIDS. I take MTX, Folic Acid, Prednisone, Toprol XL, HCT, Sprintec, Calcium w/vitamin D, Prilosec.

What is mytosis?
No one else has experienced this?I have gained water weight.. I assumed it was the meds?? [QUOTE=wanttobeRAfree]I'm not on any NSAIDS. I take MTX, Folic Acid, Prednisone, Toprol XL, HCT, Sprintec, Calcium w/vitamin D, Prilosec.
