I know we have all discussed this in detail, I was chatting to a friend whose mother has RA and she has been on an elimination diet and she has improved a lot ( not cured though)

Pin, thanks for sharing. I have tried this and it seems I always go back to dairy. I love cheese and have not found an alternative that I like. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. I love chocolate silk milk though. This may be a dumb question, but are eggs considered 'dairy'?  I don't have any problem giving up milk, cheese and the like, but eggs are a huge part of my diet.  Anyone know for sure?I would think Eggs are dairy. There have been cases of remission when Dairy products are eliminated. Rare howeverI don't think eggs are dairy, because they don't have anything to do with cows.  Like, dairy farm.... Eggs are NOT "dairy" - only foods from cow's milk are generally refered to as "dairy"[ie. milk, including chocolate milk or other flavors; cheeses; butter; ice cream; yogurt; cottage cheese; sour cream, etc.]  Some of us "milk protein intollerant" or "milk allergic" people can consume milk from other animals without difficulty [goats, for example]; but others, myself included, can not.   Also. "lactose intollerance" is not a "milk allergy", as some may believe. It is the inability to digest milk sugar (lactose) because the body doesn't make sufficient lactase, the enzyne, to break down the milk sugar.  It is not caused by the immune system as in "milk allergy", but is a digestive system disease, a complely differnet pathway.
Fortunately, I can drink and eat soy products which is very helpful as there are some alternative margarines, yogurt, ice cream, and some rice cheeses that are safe for me.  BUT, I have to read labels constantly to be sure that absolutely no milk factions are in the ingredients.  I have had "milk protein intollerance" since I was an infant, so have lived with this all my life.

Lorster, I dont know if you get this but i quite like it
