I have been telling & more recently yelling at my daughter to take a shower.

She had not took one yesterday at all! She did not take one before she left to go with her Granny this morning.

I told her she needed to go take a shower.
Daughter -  "I was out in the rain this morning and got wet."
Me - "So?! The rain is not a shower!"
Daughter - Well... I just put these shorts on and they are clean.
Me - but that is the same shirt you were wearing yesterday! Go get a SHOWER!
Daughter - But I do not stink.
Me - GO GET A SHOWER!
Daughter - Ok... fine!

OH MY FREAKING FOo-FOO! It is like pulling teeth with her to get her to do something!
joonie2008-05-28 13:47:18Well both my son's embarrass me by wearing shirts to work that look like they balled them up and shoved them in a hamper, then took them out and put them on.

(They probably did)
Don't worry about Joonie, soon you'll be yelling "Get out of the shower!"  The day will come soon when she will be using lots of shampoo and conditioners, shaving her legs, and primping for the boys!!!

Oh... I already do that. Once she gets in the shower... she is in there! It just took her 15 mins to take a shower! She just now got out of the shower!

At least she smells "fruity" now! Not nearly as bad as someone I once worked with. Mind you I've spent time working in missions where the street folk were somewhat short on basic hygiene issues. However this particular guy was sitting next to me in a calling center and after about 10 minutes I just couldn't stand this guy's eau du stink any longer and asked a supervisor if he could move the guy or something. The guy was sent home and after about five minutes it was safe to breathe easier.  Hey Joonie....... Wait till you get that jock smell in your daughters room.............  Because her knee pads have fungus growing on them........Shall I say GROSS

Joonie. Take all the money you are saving now and put it into a teen girl fund because as a mom of four girls, I'll tell you now that you are going to need it when she is a teen and you cannot stock enough cosmetics to suit her. Just wait, its coming, LOL.Once when my son was younger like nine i think. He left for school with his hair sticking straight up in the air like Einstien. His comment was it's only hair, who cares. Well i guess now days they use styling gel to achieve that look. That was not caught on to as a fasion thing back then. How old is she?

My Ally (just turned 6) REFUSES to change her panties... her comment, "well, there's no poop on them so they're clean!!"

or when I put her in the tub, she begs "no soap, let me just soak it clean.."

sigh...  little girls.. they only LOOK cute...
My daughter is 9 going to be 10 in a couple of months.

Yeah... at one time she was asking for more stylish clothes, like the girls wear on High School Musical, I spent on a shirt and pants.... she wore them maybe twice and not both of them together.

She was complaining about her hair color last night... talking about how it has all kinds of different colors of blonde and light brown. She said she did not like being a dirty blonde. I was like well... take more showers LMAO!!!! She said not that kind of dirty. I told her people would love to have her hair color. She said she wanted her hair to be dark brown like mine. I asked why and she said because my hair was pretty. I was like you been smelling your own "fumes" for way too long, because you crazy. She said no, it is pretty. I was like ok.

Oh and she will wear the same training bra for a week straight. When she takes it off, it is no longer white it is gray. I bought this kid 8 bras! So she could wear a different one every day of the week and have one left over just incase there was a reason her others did not get washed. But now... I do not even know where they all are! I went in her room a couple of months back to find her bras... found a bunch of towels and 2 bras. The others I did not even know where they were. She said some were at her Granny's house. It took a week to find all of them, and one was still missing!
