Achy with RA? | Arthritis Information

Does anyone get really achy at night? Or when they over work themselves?

I've been noticing around 8pm I start to feel really achy like when you get the flu. The later I stay up , the worse it gets. Everything gets really sore and hurts. The other time I notice it is if I'm working in my garden most of the day, or running around after the kids cleaning up more than normal I just start to feel so tired and achy.

I'm assuming with RA maybe you just need more sleep /rest than someone without RA?
thats pretty typical.  a regular exercise program which includes streching will help a bit

Being achy is part of the disease process.  Sometimes it's all over, other times it's limited to one small area.  You never can predict.  Yes, you do need more rest with RA for many reason.  Make sure that you get the rest you need.  Lindy

I am like that frequently, and yes, it does feel like the flu.  When it is really bothering me, I take Lyrica and it is very helpful.

Me too. achy has become my middle name. humidity for me is the worst. it makes all of my symtoms so much worse. yep.. classic RA!!

sorry you're having the "aches"
I never took naps before Ra and now I need one
everyday. On days that I over do I also get that achey
flu like feeling. With a runny nose and all.
It sucks!!
I am achey, especially at night, after dinner. I think frequent periods of rest throughout the day may help but who has time. Gotta love this disease. THANKS EVERYONE...

yeah, it's not fun! It's hard for family to understand at times, but they try. Yes. I can't do much of anything past about 8:00. I've gotten in the habit of getting in my bed before 9:00 every night. I don't go to sleep for a while....but my body gets still. Even when I'm pretty well controlled I've learned not to push myself too far.

I got that adjustable sleep number bad in the fall and it's a really comfortable TV watching spot.

Lovie- sorry to all this OT
Do you have to clean the chambers of a sleep number bed periodically?
