Grrr - overwhelming fatigue! | Arthritis Information
I didn't go to work today - my fatigue is through the roof today! I don't have pain/swelling, but I could barely stay awake long enough to notify the office that I would not be in. I'm also a bit dizzy, have a headache and have a fair amount of sinus congestion... I wonder if it's a cold and/or allergies that have thrown me over the edge.
I get those days too and have learned the hard way not
to fight it. Your body just lets you know when you need to just rest.
I hope you are feeling better.
I know the feeling. I was on business travel at a meeting all day yesterday...thought I was going to fall out of my chair around 2 in the afternoon. It's the pits...hope you feel better soon. A couple of advil usually helps me when I feel so tired. It reduces the inflammation that causes the fatigue, at least for a while. Unfortunately when I sleep too long it just makes it worse.

Awww, I hope you feel better tomorrow. Your boys always sound like such sweet, smart little guys (if not hilarious) I bet they're pretty good at taking care of their mom, huh?

You bet! I have one laying next to me right now, reading a book. He also brought me a Coke, because he knows I'm an addict.Sometimes it's best to just give in to fatigue and take it easy for a day or two - especially if you have such good helpers around. Hope you feel better tomorrow and it's not heading into a cold/virus. I do hope you get to feeling better....I was like that today, rested cause I was totally out of energy and slept for over 4 hours and cannot get into the swing of things at all. When the fatigue hits me, I have to just give into it.......
It is caused by the swelling? Advil helps with that? I will have to try that. I had the fatigue so bad a few days ago that I did not even have the energy to roll over in bed........it was awful!
hey i'm w/ you... different bed, lol, but same fatigue..
I have coupons, I HAVE to sent out, but the last 2 days, i haven't even gotten to the mail box.. i'm "dead"..
exhausted..
So sleep, rest, while you can, i think thats all we can do... otherwise, if we push it, it goes into a flare and soo not worth that..
and yes, I can't stand this exhaustion, it drives me crazy..
its soooooooooo all encompassing!!!I hate days like that. The fatigue is what I have the hardest time managing. I usually have a harder time with it when bad weather is looming. I hope tomorrow is better. I have trouble with sinus and allergy too, and I always forget to take care of it. Somedays I have huge pressure in my nose and into my teeth. When I have tried just about everything else, I take a sudafed and it really helps. I just have to remember to take it when I am feeling that way. Not everybody can take it, but it might help you if you are able.
Dawn
I don't have any sudafed in the house, and to make matters worse, my ID holder with my driver's license and company ID is on my desk at work. OOPS!
I don't buy the sudafed that often, so I forgot about the whole keeping it under lock and key thing.
