I am 31 and have RA which was first diagnosed as JRA when I was 6/7 years old. When I was about 10 months old, I began to have high fevers which were accompanied with seizures. They thought I had rosiola?? All through my childhood, high fevers were prevalent. Now my 2 1/2 year old son has been diagnosed with JRA. He started the high fevers with febrile seizures at about 1 year. He's had 4 febrile seizures now, which is more than I had as a child. I'm wondering if there is a coorelation between JRA and febrile seizures. Does anyone have experience with this?My daughter has never had a seizure, but she did run a very high fever (105.1) at about 14 months which they also said was roseola. She never got the rash or anything that is supposed to come with it, though, so I was always a little skeptical of that dx. I don't have my mom around to check this with... but I dont' recall having any seizure or fever issues prior or after my DX at age 10.
