Does anyone find their joint pains get worse if they have a fan blowing on them?

We were still using fans in November when I presented and I remember thinking it brought on my at the time "unknown cause" for my aching joints. The worst being my shoulders.  The pain got to the point where I insisted my husband stop turning them on at night when we slept.

Well it's fan season again and in the middle of last night I woke up with one shoulder killing me, the only thing sticking out from the covers...
Yes, I think there's something to that.  In fact, in a more extreme case, many years ago a neighbor developed a temporary palsy in her face from sitting in front of an icy air conditioner for too long.  Fans are drafts and drafts can cause stiffness and soreness, RA or not.  It's happened to me. Drafts of any kind cause my muscles and joints to ache.......OMG, I've turned into my grandmother!

So now last night I slept with the ceiling fan with no problems...what a guessing game RA is!I wrap up like a mummy w/ the sheet and /or the blankets... the only thing ticking out is my head..  but you're right wanttobe, if I sleep without covers (almost never) I ache more too...

I run my overhead fan... my standing fan and a cool mist dehumidifier (for nasal passages that are sooo dry) it is like a/c in there with that...  can you say, chill???
