THe N.Y. Daily News story "Hillary  CLinton cruising in Puerto Rico and fighting to the finish" www.nydailynews.com/new/politics/2008

Jan
Hillary has called a meeting of her top contributors and staff for tomorrow evening in NYC...the same time that Obama is expected to announce he has enough delegates to claim the nomination.

I expect she will concede the nomination to Obama at that time.
I don't know.  They said she had told the press to make their travel plans with her beyond the Tuesday primaries.  Sounds like she plans to remain on the campaign trail. why not let hillary and obama both go against McCain?  Because that would be certain defeat for the dems, splitting their vote that way.  Not that I would complain about certain defeat for the dems :) but that would be HUGELY foolish on their part.  Plus, they probably aren't allowed to have two candiates anyhow.  But that's just a guess, I don't know it for a fact.I know it's not allowed, but they'd go down.  I think it's foolish that Hillary has stayed this long, she's not doing a good thing for the democrats.  If I had to choose between the two, I'd take HC as pres.  But since I'm not voting dem, I'd rather see Obama get the nomination.  I think he has a better chance of losing the election than HC would.  But we shall see.......it'll be interesting, that's for sure.Hillary can still run as an independent like in the 1912 election when Teddy Roosevelt got mad at Taft and ran from the Bull Moose Party...Republican vote was split and Woodrow Wilson won.  Taft would have won that election if it weren't for Roosevelt.  Hillary may be ambitious but her ambition doesn't outweigh her brain.  For the Dems anyone is better than McCainIt was the other way around there for a while. Republican's were hoping Hillary would win the Primary because there was the thought that she's be easier to beat in the General....those opinions have changed though from what I'm hearing.

I'd be willing to bet that Obama will not be choosing Hillary as his running mate despite rumors that he's considering it.

I can't see Hillary ever taking the VP job.  She would have far more power  as a Senator than she would as VP.   And I can't see Barak ever offerring it to her becuase he would never want the "could have been" candidate standing next to him in pictures.  If Hillary and Bill are the VP couple Barak there would always be speculation as to how much power and influence they have.  Why would he put himself in that position.  It may help him get elected but then it would make his Presidency miserable

Actually she can't.  There are several states (Illinois being one) that prohibit a candidate from running in the general election if he/she lost in the primary.

That's true. For me anyway.  I used to think that if Obama got the nomination their would be no stopping him.  But the more I know about Obama, I think he will be a weaker candidate.  But you never know what people are going to do.  Detroit reelected Kwami.  And DC reelected Berry.
And Illinois has re-elected Rod Blowdryovich. I thought it was Blahooeyvich, but he's our state's latest candidate for a nice trip to the Graybar Hotel. Rod Yo-momma-bitch is another one I've heard   those sound like probable candidates !!!

what is this "rumor" that Michelle Obama is on tape spouting some uglies at the church?  No one seems to be able to come up w/ the tape... but it's on tons of political forums being discussed..  hmmmm.

Last minute attempt to discredit the candidate?  a rumor of desperation?

I really do not want Obama as my president..  I think it's a huge mistake based on his lack of experience primarily.  And we have no idea who would be his cabinet members.. would any of them be experienced.???

I've heard that too, Babs.  Maybe they're saving it for a rainy day?On The View, they said 'breaking news from the AP, Hillary's out, will concede tonight'........then a few minutes later, they said someone from her campaign called and said the AP story was wrong, she's still in....

Weird the AP would run that story while two states are voting in primaries, especially since it was supposedly wrong????
Her campaign manager was just on CNN saying that the AP report was wrong.

CNN then said that the actual AP statement didn't actually state that Hillary was going to concede only that she had called a meeting to make some sort of announcement. They just read into it that she was going to concede.

THe only people I believe are Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.  The others are not reliable in my opinion.

There is a blog on her website by manager Maggie Williams on the FL and MD votes  blog.hillaryclinton.com

From Obama's standpoint, if (when) he wins the nomination, he would be foolish NOT to ask Hillary to be his running mate.  He has to know that he can't win without her against McCain.  But from Hillary's standpoint, she has no ambitions of being VP, so I don't see that this would be an offer she would accept.  There's simply nothing in it for her.

I don't want Obama as my President either....so if he does ask, I hope she turns him down flat.
I think if Obama gets the nomination, he would be brilliant to ask Gore to be his running mate.  I don't think they could stand a chance of losing.  But they wouldn't get my vote.   :)Hillary.. iMO... feels she is never second best.. I highly doubt she would accept a VP position.. she'll hang on for 2012......

which is what I wish Obama had done... he is not ready (did I say that?)
If Barrack gets in maybe he makes her a Supreme Court Justice
If Barrack gets in maybe he makes her a Supreme Court Justice
He's gained a lot of support through the Primary. Even if he doesn't win people aren't going to forget who he is. He can do it all over again in 2012. Unless you were a political junkie before all this started most people had never even heard the name Barrack Obama. They sure know it now. No matter what happens in November; you haven't heard the last of Barrack Obama; that's for sure. HILLARY BETTER PACK UP HER PANTS SUIT AND CALL IT A DAY!!!!!  LMAO

BUT NOW YOU HAVE THE GREAT CHANGER OF THE COUNTRY! "BARAK,OSAMA,OBAMA!

                                           LORD HAVE MERCY   LOL
McCain is looking very interesting.
