Does anyone..... | Arthritis Information

Does anyone have ra in just their ankles and feet, sometimes knees.  Does it normally just happen in the wrists and fingers.  Sometimes my fingers are a little stiff when my ankles are really bad, but otherwise I don't have problems with them.  Is that typical of ra, or does it have to be in the wrists and fingers also?

It's common for RA to hit your wrists, but I don't think it's a necessity in order to be diagnosed.  Have you been dx'd?  How long have you been dealing with your ankles?

in flare, I felt the pain everywhere... but once I was out of that..I "felt" my issues in knees ankles and feet first.. maybe because the pain was greater there?  it wasn't until I felt some relief in the lower part that the upper started bothering me again.I have pain of varying degrees in multiple joints, but the only visible swelling is in my right wrist and in my left ankle.  Even my diseases are confused! My ankles and wrists have always been my key joints for discomfort.I was diagnosed, if you want to call it that 2 weeks ago, but have been dealing with ankle pain for about 5 years but it just really started to get bad about 7 months ago.  I have no swelling and inflammation tests were all neg. but positive elevated rf.  My hands and feet were initially the absolute worst.  I could barely stand due to the intense pain in my feet, and the pain in my hands was bad enough to even make holding a coffee cup difficult.  I've never had any RA issues in my ankles, though I do have a bad left ankle resulting from a series of bad sprains when I was younger.  If inflammation/swelling is acting up, I will sometimes get carpal tunnel (holds nerves for the thumb and first 3 fingers) and/or ulnar tunnel (holds nerves for pinky and half of 4th finger) issues with my wrists.
