Saw a new GP today. | Arthritis Information

Well what was left of me saw a nice lady GP today. She gave me a referal and well wished me luck with that. She just said really it may take a bit to get into see the RD and to call her if I run out of meds in the mean time. Oh i just wasn't doing well on the pain pills the hospital gave me. I well lost all of my nutrients running to the bathroom. I mean it was worse than the flu. So lots of prednisone and she of course filled my Loratab. So alright I have a new GP. This is a good thing. Now i am just trying to nurse myself back to health. I was just weak as could be and dizzy.

The lower back is getting involved now. I hate it when you can hear your ligaments crunching in your lower back. The very sound and feel just brings back bad memories from flares in the past. Well high dose prednisone is what i have needed for some time now. I am actually happy with that for the moment. I certainly do not need any more disk damage. I hope the prednisone can hold back the swelling some.

Will call RD office in the morning and see how long till appiontment. Just swelling everywhere. Same old same old.
Hang in there!!!!

Is there any way you can get your new GP's office to call the rheumatologist's office for you, to maybe get you in quicker?  If I have an urgent need to see a new specialist, my internist has his office staff call the other doctor's office and basically weasel a same-day appointment out of them.  If his office nurse can't get anywhere with them, he will get on the phone himself and get a same-day appointment.
She said they would send something telling them to see me as soon as possible. Between being sick and work. I hardly had the energy to worry about it. I could hardly walk with out falling over today. I will let you know. I always have the doctor's office call in the prescriptions to my pharmacy as well.  That way I don't have to worry about losing them along the way, or having to drop them off and come back and get them later.  I can go straight to the pharmacy from the doctor's office and the prescriptions are waiting for me. Hope you find your strength and feel better soon!Hugs Milly -
