I was just diagnosed last week. I will go to the Dr again on the 11th and be referred to the RA Dr, but for now I am curious as to something strange I have been experiencing. Whenever I move, even the slightest, my body cracks and pops kind of sounds like bubble wrap, this is a recent development over the past couple of days and I was curious as to whether or not this was a symptom of the RA?
I exercise and walk daily, I have a 40 hour a week job, go to college part time and have 3 kids and a hubby. I live a very active life despite the pain I have.
I am not currently on any meds since I was just diagnosed 5 days ago.
I crack like crazy! But only when I first start moving, it doesn't continue after the first several steps. I didn't notice it before RA, but whether it's due to RA I don't know.I do notice it is after I tend to sit for awhile, I have a desk job and try to get up and about occasionally, but sometimes if it is really busy I will sit for quite awhile before I can get up.
Well, sorry you got hit with this disease. Don't let yourself get too discouraged. I was dx'd almost a year and a half ago and with the right med combo, not too much has changed for me, aside of that I do still have occasional flares. It's totally not all doom and gloom.
