Is this normal? | Arthritis Information

I was just diagnosed last week. I will go to the Dr again on the 11th and be referred to the RA Dr, but for now I am curious as to something strange I have been experiencing. Whenever I move, even the slightest,  my body cracks and pops kind of sounds like bubble wrap, this is a recent development over the past couple of days and I was curious as to whether or not this was a symptom of the RA?

I exercise and walk daily, I have a 40 hour a week job, go to college part time and have 3 kids and a hubby. I live a very active life despite the pain I have.

I am not currently on any meds since I was just diagnosed 5 days ago.
I crack like crazy!  But only when I first start moving, it doesn't continue after the first several steps.  I didn't notice it before RA, but whether it's due to RA I don't know.I do notice it is after I tend to sit for awhile, I have a desk job and try to get up and about occasionally, but sometimes if it is really busy I will sit for quite awhile before I can get up.  Well, sorry you got hit with this disease.  Don't let yourself get too discouraged.  I was dx'd almost a year and a half ago and with the right med combo, not too much has changed for me, aside of that I do still have occasional flares.  It's totally not all doom and gloom.

as long as you are not experiencing pain with the cracks and pops it isn't a problemYour joints can do a Rice Crispies snap crackle and pop. This is not necessarily a sign that anything is wrong. If there is pain and restricted range of movement and it doesn't go away, let your doctor know. I pop all the time! You should hear me coming down the stairs in the morning. lol

Yes; It's normal. The majority of people have simular problems; but I think we're worse than most. Rarely does it hurt. My knee will pop in a horrible way every now and then and that's horrible and painful. Not normal.
