I washed some of the fdirty dishes. How much you want to bet that hubby does not even notice I washed some of the dishes or even says anything about it?

Now my right leg is acting up. and the front of my shirt is all wet! I hate washing dishes... seems like every time I wash dishes now I end up entering into a wet T-Shirt contest. And of course I do not win, hubby is the judge and well he likes blondes in wet T-Shirt contests You are funny!
I hate washing dishes by hand (hence the dishwasher).
When the dishwasher broke down a couple of years ago
my husband did the dishes.

I have pointed out to him before things I have done, and he just usually says "Umm-humm". But I only point it out to him to show him I did NOT just sit at home ALL DAY and do NOTHING! When I feel well and nothing is really bothering me, I will do some house work. Just not clean the whole house, like I use to.

It has taken me a while to figure out that I need to pace my doings, but some times I just get excited that I can do something and I keep on doing.

I found out that the best way to get my hubby to notice the things I do around the house is for me to notice and acknowledge the things he does around the house.  The more I do it and say thank you, and the more he feels appreciated, the more he appreciates me!

Hillhoney2008-06-04 19:24:44Hillhoney, that's an excellent point!

BTW, joonie, inquiring minds want to know...did he notice this time?  And who won the wet t-shirt contest, you or the imaginary blonde (does he know her boobs aren't real?
I asked him if he noticed I washed some dishes he said "umm-humm and now I am having cake." Then it just went down hill from there.

Yeah, I told him about the wet T-Shirt contest, and about the blonde with fake boobers. And he said she won because my shirt got wet at the belly and no boobers. I says he does not care if they are fake boobers, they are all the same to him. I said until you touch one, then you will think differently. He said uhhh no.

I do acknowledge the things he does around the house. He does not really care for me to say "thanks" because that is the way he is. I have said "Thanks" many times before and he would give me that "whatever" look and not say anything.

Yeah, I try to thank my hubby for all the things he does, but most times he acts funny and says "you don't need to thank me".  Then when he's bent out of shape about something, he tells me how I don't appreciate what he does.  Um, ok.

Tell him if your boobers aren't wet enough, maybe he should try eating cake off them!
