Enbrel, Nausea and Fatigue | Arthritis Information

Hi to all...I am new to Enbrel.  Just took my third shot yesterday.  Amazingly, just one week after my first shot, my severe pain was gone!  Unfortunately, the pharmacy gave me syringes instead of the sureclick pen...so I haven't yet tried giving the shots to myself. So wish me luck with that!

I have only had a few side-effects, and wondered if anyone could comment on them.  Primarily, extreme fatigue about 2-3 days after the shot (and lasting a few days).  Secondarily, pretty serious nausea (bordering on vomiting) about 1-2 days after shot....and this along with heartburn (which I have never experienced before--except 17 years ago during pregnancy!).  Lastly, occassional headache that coincides with the nausea.
I have been told that most side effects tend to regulate after a few months, as the body becomes adjusted.  I hope so...because the pain relief is so wonderful.  Just wish I could have the energy to go with it.
Can anyone relate to any of this?  Thanks so much!
I am on Enbrel and have not experienced any of those side effects.

Are you on any other meds?

You may want to post in the Rheumatoid Arthritis section where most people communicate.
