RA # 73.3, CRP # 22.3, ANA # 48

Everything infectious was negative.

And I feel like I got run over by a very large truck.

Ya think I might have an inflammatory arthritis of some sort? Just maybe?

Appointment with the rheumatologist July 3rd. Sigh.

My PCP switched me from ibuprofen to relafen. Relafen has historically worked better for me than ibuprofen; it's just been more expensive. But yay! It's available as a generic now.

not that you want the DX of a chronic disease.. but don't get discouraged that you won't get help.

I had all negative results except ANA (and that was only initially very high) but I have a DX of RA.. from fluid drained and examined from my knee...
There are many ways to find a DX..

I wish you help from the RD.

Did they check your anti-ccp?  I had normal numbers on everything except anti-ccp and it wasn't until my fourth doctor that it was tested.  Be sure to request it, not all doctors do it routinely.  I hope you get answers soon.

Also, did they check your sed rate (ESR)?  See if you can get on the cancellation list for the RD in case they can get you in sooner...Sed rate was also a "little" elevated.

My PCP indicated all these numbers were "high" ... as soon as my PCP fills out my FMLA paperwork so my day job doesn't ding me for unexcused absences I'll get on their cancellation list. If they don't give me at least a couple days' notice for the cancellation it'd be an unexcused absence.

(My day job has rather obnoxiously high standards for attendance. We have 40 hours unexcused to use for sick, car broke down, etc. and everything else has to be pre-scheduled or fall under FMLA. Since I also have livestock, I can guarantee there will be times when I call in due to, "Hi, I'm doing goat obstetrics ... no, the kids won't wait until after work ..." or "the dog got bit by a rattlesnake ... again ..." *sigh* With the trouble I've been having I've already used 24 hours and it doesn't reset until April of next year.)

Leva, best of luck.  It's hard to get your head around this at first, but once your meds kick in, you should stop feeling beat up.  Take care ~~ Cathy
