Anyone else got their air conditioning turned off?

I keep ours off until hubby gets home from work. It usually does not get really warm in the house until late afternoon, or when people keep going in and out the doors.

For some strange reason the house get cool thru the night and stays that way until like I said late afternoon. But once that sun hits the side of the house when it is going down, then it get warm in here.

And when hubby starts to cook, always warms it up in here.

I like how the house stays cool most of the day... it is good the electric bill. Mine's on.  In the 90's in the mitten today. It is 92 degrees outside and feels like 97.

In the house it is 82 degrees.
I have not had mine on yet. It has been pretty humid but our home usually
stays pretty comfy.
Yesterday it did get a bit warmer and I was baking .When I opened the
oven door the fire alarm went off , just from the heat.
The stupid thing would not stop and then all the others in the house went
off. I was so afraid that one of the neighbors would call the fire dept.
I finally took the main one apart . It is now sitting on my counter.
Now I have to figure out how to put it back together.lol
Mine's on until hubby makes me turn it off.  My internal thermostat is broken (thanks, fibro) and I am always hot.  And the BR where our PC is located is the hottest room in the house (of course).  I like to have it on for a few hours during the day so that hopefully by evening it can be turned off.mines busted..we've had 90+temps and heavy rain and humidity all week.  The windows aren't set up for good airflow and one main wall is mostly west facing glass.  Its almost 90 in here..UGH!!!  as long as im under the ceiling fan its doable but my puppy is getting pretty uncomfortable.

The repair guy with the new unit will be here tomorrow morning..I'm counting the minutes
Yeah, my AC is on... it's hotter than hell here in Alabama where it was about 93 degrees today. My power bill for the last month... 175 bucks!!!!!!!!It is definitely on...reached 100 today.mine is on in high 90s here today i rarely turn m ine off year round Yep, it be hot in alabama and then add the humidity! UGH! I am so glad I no longer have asthma, otherwise I would be in a heap of trouble.

Well... I broke down and turned on the window unit like 30 mins before hubby came home. I got a little sweaty because I went outside when FIL came over.

If I ever go outside and then back in the house, I will sweat and get hot. But if I NEVER step foot outside... the temp inside the house is just fine for me.

I hate summer... you can take off all your clothes and still be sweating like a I'm the oddball here. I am always cold. I have a blanket around my shoulders right now because I just got out from under the standing fan my husband had blowing in the living room with all the windows open. It was hot here today-not sure of the temp but got breezy around 5 PM when I was leaving work. I wear a blazer in the office all day because they have the AC on.
At home we live in an old farm house with no AC. We do have 36 windows and nothing around us but big old shade trees so it's usually comfortable. There are always a couple of days or week during the summer (dog days) that it's actually uncomfortable without AC. We have window units and sometimes the kids will beg my husband to put them in. Some years he does some he doesn't. The weird thing is he'll say we don't need them- it's not that hot but whenevere we stay in a hotel or at our parent's homes that have AC- he will turn it down until it's like a meat locker and I have to go outside to warm up!
Husband always wants the air on, I always want it off.  Luckily our house is technically a two-flat, so it has two completely separate living spaces.
