What's everyone up to this weekend?

Tomorrow I am having my hair done- color, highlights- take that you gray hairs! I'm also considering a new haircut. Right now I've been wearing it long and straight but it's of very fine texture and it's just blah. Plus falling out.

It's supposed to be in the 90's so I'll hang by the pool the rest of the day. Make a beer can chicken on the grill. If there is room I'm going to make baby artichokes out there too.

Sunday we have a gift certificate to an Italian restaurant.

Going to bed soon so I can get my 12 hrs. that I enjoy on the weekends.
getting my a/c fixed (YAY!!!)and going to my nieces dance recital..and back to the pool if my sunburn from todays visit is betterEnjoying some quiet time with the family this weekend.  We're going to cook out tomorrow - the boys and I just got a cute little portable gas grill for the husband for F-day. We also have to pull out the boys' summer clothes from last year, see what still fits, and go shopping to replace stuff that doesn't.  Sunday is the Lord's day - we'll attend Mass in the morning and spend the rest of the day resting.  To do otherwise would be sinful and I don't need any more bad marks on my heavenly scorecard. Selling some stuff at a flea market tomorrow (I hope).  Sunday I hope to be a day of doing absolutely nothing! We're having a garage sale.
We're having a garage sale.
A few years back when our oldest boy was learning to read, he spied a "Garage Sale" sign a few houses down from us.  He asked us if we could go buy their garage so he and his brother could use it as a fort.  He wanted to know how we would get it down the street and into our back yard.
HAhahaha Jasmine!

It is hubby's saturday off work, so... we are going to try to wake up early to go to yard sales. That is IF we wake up at 7am. I am not even sure I will be asleep by then

Then we are going over in-laws for saturday dinner and watch a movie probably.

Then sunday is catch up on sleep day. We usually do not get out of bed until after 12pm. And that is hubby who gets up with son at that time. Me, I just lay in the bed until 3-4pm. All depends on when hubby decides to wake me up. He has let me sleep until 6pm before!
It's been raining here for the last 2 weeks.  If it's nice either Sat. or Sun. we're golfing.  We'll be going to some relatives for dinner and cribbage and then what's left of the weekend will be spent working on an art project I've started and can't seem to get around to completing.  LindyIts 7.30pm on Saturday evening here so nearly 1/2 our weekend has gone already!

I am at my kitchen preparing food for a 21st being held here so I am having a sandwich making break and gearing up to put 200 mini quiche in the oven.
Tomorrow is a 'nothing on' day so hubster and I usually go out for lunch. Dont like doing dinner anymore.....maybe thats because working nights is what I have done for years and its a treat to be at home. Yeah. That is DEFINITELY what it is.
Want to try a place we have never lunched at before called Bellas. Have heard great things so live in hope.
Also need to groom our two Maremma dogs.
Will try and post a link to a photo of Dalai and Nelson......

LyndeeNZ2008-06-07 00:26:46We are having a lazy saturday morning, we are going to the local fair later and then my nephew is taking us out for dinner tonight. Tomorrow we are planning on working in garden and we are going out for a BBQ at friends later in the afternoon....I love weekends

Today I will be doing a 46 mile bike ride.  Then will plan a nice dinner for my husband, son and I.

Tomorrow I take my church's junior youth group to see Blue Man Group.

Then tomorrow night I will be on the couch watching the Boston Celtics take on the LA Lakers in Game 2.  I had the great pleasure of being at Game 1.

We have a busy weekend.  High school graduation last night for youngest  - his party is on Sunday.  Busy this morning getting things cleaned up, collecting tables/chairs etc.  Invite list is up to 100 or so, but everyone doesn't always come (I hope) especially since it's going to be raining and I don't have that big of a house.   Then to add to the mix, we have a wedding at 2:00 on Saturday.    I played it smart and took Friday and Monday off work.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend, whatever your plans may be.
Patti, lucky you to go to game one.  So your thoughts, was Pierce faking it?  Beautiful dogs, Lyndee!have to go grocery shopping for the stuff we ran out of.. milk, bread, oj,  hamburger.. I bought a HUGE grocery list last week, and have enough staple stuff, canned goods etc to last several weeks.. had to do it that way to save on gas and get ready for the lean summer time when Mark wont get paid anything until his small summer school check mid july.

also need bird food.. I have  4 feeders and 3 suet cages and a LOT of hungry flickers,  blue jays, cardinals, woodpeckers and nuthatches.. I love to just sit on the back porch and watch them all.. and heck I even feed the squirrels.

we finally got some hot weather so the kids have the wading pool set up.. we have one of those  "little tikes" slides set up so they slide into the water..

I planted tomatoes in pots  and need green peppers and eggplants to plant today.

 thats pretty much our weekend..

It's great to hear so many of you out and about.  Although I'm feeling a little better than the last two weeks, I'm still not great.  So Saturday morning has already been slept away.
Hubby wants us to go to the pool, but we have to wait for the sun to start sinking.  My photosensitivity is severe and even with a hat and sunblock in the shade, I still tend to get hives and fluish symptoms.

Maybe tonight we'll see a movie.  And tomorrow?  I don't know yet.  Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend.
Beautiful dogs.  My plans have changed because I woke up to beautiful sunshine.  The first in 2 weeks!!  Am going to finish planting my flower and herb garden - finally, and let the cats out to play.  They've been cooped up and are getting downright nasty.  They need some exercise and run off their energy.  Then we might golf, but I need to plant first.  Also, have to go to the nursery.  Not doing anything else until the garden is finished.  LindyOh, I conveniently forgot I need to clean the inside of my PC this weekend.  Guess that's what I'll be doing tomorrow.
Oh, I conveniently forgot I need to clean the inside of my PC this weekend.  Guess that's what I'll be doing tomorrow.
Yea, that's a nasty chore.  I bought a new case for my desktop computer a few weeks back, but I keep putting off the migration.  Every time I open the computer case it seems like there's enough fur to cover an entire band of feral cats.  I've tried dust filters on the intake fans, but all they seem to do is decrease air circulation and increase heat inside the case.
Man everyone's weekend sounds so much more fun than mine!  I was up at the crack of dawn to take my daughter to the SAT's!  Argh...last night was MTX, didn't sleep much between allergies, MTX, etc.  Then had to take cat to the vet and head back to pick up daughter.  I'm pooped, but psyched to see her eventual score.  She kicked butt on the ACT's, fingers crossed everyone!I forgot to add that those dogs are gorgeous!OK I got Saturday & Sunday mixed up. We went to the Italian BYOB restaurant tonight. The food was very good. I decides I would have a couple of glasses of wine for my "June drink". Then the chef brought us out glasses of homemade lemoncello to drink with our ricotta cheesecake. Gave me the recipe. It's only made with grain alcohol.... Then my husband coerced me to drink a glass of Patron tequila at home....

I'll be drinking a lot of water to flush my liver tomorrow. I bet I wake up in the middle of the night with a migraine....
Going to my niece's graduation party.  It's being held outside under a pavilion.  Should I mention tomorrow is suppose to be 98 degrees with a heat index of 105.  We have a long weekend this weekend.  YAY!!

Saturday we just chilled and went to do some errands and have coffee.

Today (Sunday) we played hookey from church because we had to be out in the country at an Antique shop/Cafe  for Mother-in-law,  Brother-in-law and neice's birthdays.  It was a lovely time together (20 of us) and the food was lovely.  I took my new camera and played with it behind the antique barn.

Tomorrow (Monday) will be another chill day I think.  I'm still getting over being sick last week.  I got lots of gift certificates for Bunnings (sort of like Home Depot) for my birthday so maybe tomorrow hubby and I will head down there and see what we might want to spend the money on.

Then on Tuesday  I actually get to start my new job!  (Only 2 weeks late due to my stay in hospital)  I'm really looking forward to getting back to work.  The psychologists and social workers I work with are all really nice and it was good to get to know them while I worked as a casual.  Now I get to be permanent part-time,  Tuesdays and Thursdays and every other Friday.

Gotta love a long weekend!!!
