bone scan - it's done in nuclear medicine department - they inject you
with a little radioactive dye (nice) then about 3 hours later you go on
a kinda mri type thing and it scans your whole body to show
inflammation of or damage to your bones. did anyone elses rheumy
send them for one of these and what was the outcome - i can hardly find
anything on the net about them. any info would be really
appreciated.

I have no idea why the doc had me get a bone scan?
I had a bone scan. It was critical in determining progression of my ra. Not painful at all.
