OT/Flooding in Wi. | Arthritis Information

We have so much flooding all around us towns are being told not to drink

the water. We are told to please stay off the roads because they are so flooded
and we are still waiting for more rain.
Where I grew up at (wisconsin dells/lake delton) is some of the worst
damage. Lake delton is a very big part of the tourist attraction of wisc dells,
home of the Tommy Bartlet water ski show, has busted through the
road and has drained into the Wisconsin river. The lake is gone along
with at least 4 homes . The lake has literally drained and it's not a little lake.

And this may seem weird to some of you but I wonder if God is mad at us for
something. We had the worst winter ever and now the never ending rain .

I am sorry to hear of the flooding. Please stay safe.

It has been crazy lately. We had the first tornado here since the 70's. They just don't happen here...we are surrounded by mountains. I admit, I couldn't take my eyes off the funnel cloud. I teach science and took a number meterology classes. Nobody got hurt and property damage was minimal. Still, I can't imagine the monsters that some of you get in the midwest. This was an EF0-can't get any smaller. I know I would have a much different opinion of tornados if I had seen and lived through what others have.

Temp. on our school welcome sign said 104 today. I don't know if the weather is crazy or if there is more media coverage and access to information than there was in the past.

Mom and Dad are in Columbus. I talked to mom last night and she was in the basement with a shop vac, but not sure what to do after that. She was strangely calm. Aunt & Uncle live down the road and they were thinking about staying at moms house, because its on slightly higher ground. They already had enough water in the basement to not care anymore. The neighbors behind aunt and uncle had 3 feet of water in their living room. Neighbors on the side of town with the creek, by fireman's park had all already been evacuated. I'm about to call and get an update.

You'll be in my thoughts too!!
Oh!Arrscolwell, I have been hearing so much about Columbus, from what I saw they were
using boats to get people out of an apartment complex(about 100 units).
We took a drive over to Marshall and the lake there is flowing all over the place.
They are evacuating people to schools.

Your mom and dad live about 10 minutes from us. I love Columbus! What a historic
looking town. They just shot the movie "Public Enemy" there with Johnny Dep.
Let me know how your parents are doing.
I've been watching and reading the news about the troubles up in the Dells. I also live in Wisconsin, God Bless!

Thoughts and prayers to those impacted. It has been a crazy year for weather  - I think it's about time to have some quiet weather reports on the nightly news.  Keep safe everyone !

I live in central IL and we have been getting lots of rain and everything is flooded. The worst is more down south. I now have a river in my back yard that used to be a cow pasture. The farmers are having a hard time because of the rain. They can't plant and then the stuff they did plant is under water.  Awful!
It sure isn't good on the ole' RA. I have been so sore with all this wetness and now heat. YUCK!
My thoughts and prayers are also with everyone going through this. Especially the farmers some of which are our friends.
God Bless!
Blessings to all of you in the flood and tornado areas.  I watched the news this evening and it's pretty bad.  I have friends in Ok. and Ala. and they've also had some very strange weather.  Think it has more to do with worldwide climate change.  Even here in Washington state it's been unusual.  Tonight it's supposed to snow in the mountains around us and we're having winds up to 55 miles an hour.  It's crazy weather everywhere.  Take care.  LindyMaimi, they're still filming bits - they have a blog and the writer was talking about being flooded out of their apartment in columbus. It was weird to read!

Talked to mom and dad today and their water in the creek has gone down a lot. But that dam broke and so the golf course behind them is a lake now. Not sure how that's going to pan out - that includes their backyard! Hmmmm.......

So far, everyone is safe and mostly dry so I'm not asking for anything more!
How awful for everyone living there, we saw on our news this morning about a house that just got washed away. My thoughts are with everyone. Does Liz live in that area Katie?I got up this morning and on th front page of the paper are lots of
pictures of the now empty lake.Nobody was hurt during all that.
My husband and I are heading that way this morning.
Now people who live on the river have to watch out , not only for
the extra water but of parts of houses and boats cloging up areas.

What a mess.
Arriscowell, Glad to hear that your family are good and safe.
Lots of prayers out to all!!
Wow- there certainly is crazy, dangerous weather all over! Prayers going up.
