I got a call today from my GP's office. I was thinking "Oh No! I missed my appt." Then the lady asks if I had gotten my results from my halter monitor I wore for 24hrs. I said I did not remember. Then she said well... you have a rapid heart rate and need to be on something for it. I was like ok. Then she asked if I was on any blood pressure meds. I said yeah. Then she looked in my file and said 20mg of Coreg CR? I was like... no, 12.5mg of Coreg 2xday. Then she asked who put me on that amount. I told her GP did last time I was there. She said oh well that is not noted in your file.
Thanks for the replies. I cannot change GP's because he is the only one in town that had an opening for Medicaid recipients. The GP that Medicaid assigned me to before I changed to him was in the next town. she was rude, overcharged me on the co-pay, and even with all the swelling and limited ROM she questioned me having RA. So... I changed over to him because he was the only one that had an opening.
Yeah... I am starting to figure that out. I have not really dealt with doctors as much as I have in the last 3 years. I use to just put things off until I could not stand it anymore. I still do, but it is a shorter waiting period The problem are the times you feel so ill you cannot keep track of things for them....I'm an RN and I've worked a physicians office. You wouldn't believe how easy it is to miss writing a med into a list. With as many people as they see in a day PLUS the phone calls they receive, things are easier to miss. It will be better with EMR's (electronic medical records) because medications written will follow through to a list. My GP's office runs the same way yet when he's concerned, he calls me personally............Now that's a caring physician.joonie. i take coreg for migraine prevention and it works so well for that. I have gone from 3 migraines a week to one migraine every 2 years. is a wonderful drug for all sorts of problems. Joonie - I totally understand. Three months, geez. Cheer up, you finally have their attention. That is nice to know, Lorster. My RD says I get fibro induced migraines. She says that my neck/shoulders/upper back problems causes, what feels like a muscle that runs up the side of my head behind almost half way to ears, is an actual migraine.
