Limbrel for OA | Arthritis Information

Has anyone heard of this "food medication" for OA.

I'm throwing this back up to the top as I'm really curious if anyone has any first hand knowledge about this med.

There was information about this posted on the OA board over a year ago, and I asked 3 doctors (mine and my mom's) about it, and none have heard of it. Of course, doctors being doctors, they were skeptical and "poo pooed" it!

I too would be very interested in hearing if anyone has tried it and if it was better than anti-inflammatories at controlling the pain from OA.

Thank you, Hillhoney. Thats twice now in as many days that I've posted on a topic that has already been discussed. I shall be more careful in the future to check the archives before I post. This med was mentioned in a very recent copy of Arthritis Today Magazine, so I thought it was something new. No wonder nobody is responding. I have OA and RA, and am looking for an alternative to NSAIDS. I'll give the Limbrel further study. Appreciate the heads up.

Oh, I didn't mean you shouldn't post about it. We post over and over again about things - please don't think I meant that. I was just relating that I heard about this over there (where almost no one goes - that's why I hang out here).

I think the idea of a food medication is so new no one is looking at it as an option. I had even asked my pharmacist, and they said they would have to check with their distributor to see if it was something they could get, but they doubted it. For me, I'll try just anything for relief!

Now post away, and don't worry if it has been discussed before - there's always new things to be said, and new people to see it.
