Bizzalou-

I love your post with the Proud to be U.S. Navy Mom flashing sign.  It is very uplifting and heart warming.  Good for you and your son.

My brother was in the Navy.

Thanks!  My son is leaving in 8 weeks for recruit training in Great Lakes, Michigan (Chicago).  I will be an empty nester for the first time in 26 years.  Hubby won't know what to do with me!  I'm proud of my son for his choice.  He is following in his grandfather's (my dad) footsteps.  I just wish it were peace time....but I'll just have to pray all that much harder.

Thank you for your kind words...
God Bless Them All...

Oops!  You're so right!  How on Earth did I mess that one up?  My husband, my dad and I will all be up there for his Pass In Review (graduation) sometime in October.  My dad told me he wouldn't miss it...he hasn't been up there since he graduated in 1952!  It will be a very big moment in all our lives and a big new beginning for my son (Ryan).  It's nice knowing how well the recruits are received up there.    Tell your boys thanks from this "new navy mom".
Hey Navy mom!!  I haven't seen a Navy graduation, but if it's anything like the Marine Corps', be prepared.  You're gonna want to join up when it's over!  Both my sons are in the Corps, so from one military mom to another, congratulations.  You've got a lot to be proud of, and a big fat thank you from me :)Thanks!  That's what I've heard.  My son has actually found a video of one such graduation at Great Lakes on youtube.com....I haven't seen it yet...but he says it's something else!

I'm very proud....I was a Navy brat for my entire childhood....it was a good life. :)
btw....I created my signature myself with Microsoft word, paintbrush, and imageshack! It is a great signature.  I've never seen anything like it!!!
