Hi everyone!

I am nauseated on a daily basis and just recently came across an amazing disolvable tablet. It's called Ondansetron ODT 8mg tablet. It is generic for Zofran. Zofran is a little pricey so I use the generic. You stick it on your tongue and it dissolves. It may cause Headaches. I haven't had any side effects and have been taking it as needed for the past couple of months. Even though pills like phenergan helped...the side effects were a pain! I say...the less pills the better!
I suffered from nausea everyday for 2 years and it helped me...I hope I can help someone else

JHode, I also was nauseated daily for about 5 years. The nausea resolved as the joint pain began. I would rather have the joint pain as I felt like I had the flu for 5 long years. I'm glad you found something to help. I used a lot of phenergan but at least zofran does not cause drowsiness. You may need to look into why you are having nausea as you should not take zofran forever. It may be from the AI disease but could also be for other reasons. lorster, My doctors haven't figured out why yet. I can't figure it out either:( So...in the meantime I use the zofran to get threw it. I try not to take it unless I have too. The Zofran is definitely a good thing to have in the medicine cabinet if I need it.Yeah, meds are nice when you need them. My RA started with 5 years of headaches and nausea. I lost 5 years of my life during that time. Was a very low period in my life. I feel for you and can totally relate. I'm glad you have something to take though when times get tough. Have you seen a GI doctor? Do you have reflux. Nausea is a symptom of reflux. Make sure you see a GI if you haven't to get to the bottom of it.I have a really good GI doc. I do have acid reflux and I have to be careful with what I eat. My GI doctor thinks it's from the RA...I don't know what to doIt probably is. Mine resolved over time but it did take time. Have you been tested for motility problems like gastroparesis? That can cause chronic nausea. Do you vomit? I just had nausea with no vomiting. I sipped coke(no ice) out of a can which helped more than anything did. I tried everything. It eventually went away, slowly and I still have bouts of it but it rarely lasts. The plaquinil really helped. Some of the other meds you are on may also cause it. Try to eliminate any you don't absolutely need. no...i'll check into that...thanks. I don't vomit...just feel like i'm on the verge of. I can't drink anything but water and some juices that come from a company called Naked. I can't take plaqinil. I cut back on my dose of Wellbutrin...I noticed when I started it that it had an effect on my acid reflux. The other med i'm on are 2 for my acid reflux(zegerid&aciphex),prednisone and Orencia.Naked Juice was created by an Alum of my University.
