Darvon has to be one of the most worthless meds on the market. Yes, a few swear by it but 99 percent get no relief. I refuse to give it when I work. I will call a doctor and let them know I'm not giving the Darvocet because it is a waste of everyones time. Most doctors will not prescibe it anymore because we have all banded together and let them know that it does not work. I will say that it does work fairly well on the elderly but I'm not sure that it is because of the Tylenol in it. Some studies have suggested that it is no better than plain tylenol. Darvocet did nothing for my pain and made me have panic attacks in the middle of the night.  I hated it.  You're right Lorster, Darvon is useless and isn't prescribed much anymore.  I didn't realize it was being prescribed at all.  Lindy
