On CNN, June 2008 Gloria Steinem said:
I didn't look at the link yet, but I do think Hillary was not favored by the media. That's the kind of thing conservatives have dealt with since I've been following politics. Journalist's bias' very often show up in what they report and the way they report it, and you could totally see that they turned on her in favor of Obama. I actually felt sort of sorry for Hillary, but in a way I'm glad that the unfairness of it could be felt by people who used to deny it ever happened.
At least Maureen Dowd of the NYT has shifted her focus off Senator Clinton, and is now taking on the French President and HIS wife. MD is never happy. She could have instead written a great story about Tim Russert, her colleague. I am getting very tired of her. I call BS on this. Pretty much every political election ever, journalists have had opinions about who should run and who shouldn't, and have voiced those opinions in editorials. If anything, modern journalists have been remarkably polite in their opinions.Polite has nothing to do with it. A reporter isn't supposed to be giving voice to his/her opinion. They are supposed to be relating facts. Not their own personal interpretation of the facts.
A news REPORT is supposed to be facts. It is not an editorial.
