I fell UP the steps! TWICE! | Arthritis Information

Joonie, I got you trumped. LOL

Well two days ago, we had this guy come and trench our yard to run a pipe down the driveway to drain all the water so next time we get all that rain here in IL hopefully our basement and doorway won't flood. We called J.U.L.I.E. before he dug and they came and marked our phone line but not our power line from the water pump. We have a well and the power from the pump to the house that runs the well was broken by the trencher. So we had no water. I went to the basement to see the damage. Not as much water as a few days ago and while coming up the stairs, I fell up. I caught myself with right arm. SO then I go into the kitchen which is two more steps and fall up them too! I think the flip-flops have to go. My right hand, elbow and shoulder have been sore for a few days. Doing better now. Just wanted to let you guys all know that these cute summer flip-flops are dangerous. Or is it me? LOL I always had this falling up not down the stairs thing. AWWWW.... I am sorry. You do seem to got me trumped!

At least you are not hurt, that is what is important.

As for me... I think I bruised my left hip bone. It is sore when I first sit down, then it goes away until I move. UGH!

I would kill myself if I wore flip-flops LOL!

Death by flip-flops!
Let's see Joonie falls, Buckeye fell, now Cindee.  People, be careful!  And be mindful of your footware, especially sandals, flip flops and slip on slippers.  My sister is a fit, able bodied person and she tripped on the stairs while wearing some "oh so cute summer sandals" and hurt her ankle, so be careful everyone.

Yep, please be careful.
Joonie, I hope your hip is doing better.
Buckeye I hope you didn't hurt yourself.
No more going down to basement for me!
take care!
I almost fell coming up the stairs about a week ago. And I've been bouncing off the walls after my marathon networking installation. Nearly ran into someone in Costco yesterday. Can't even drive a shopping cart...

Padded suits anyone? Have you seen that commercial where the whole city is covered in bubble wrap?Oh and if you do happen to fall, people are going to want to step on you to *pop* the bubbles. That would be an extra owie or 3!!  I only wiped out a few times when I was pregnant, and just got skinned knees and hands. When I was preggo with my son, I fell down the stairs and landed on my butt. Yep... I did not tell anyone about my fall, until a couple of days later when I had an unexplainable bruise. I was actually able to get off the ground by myself, one of the many things I could do while I was in preggo remission. Let me fall now, I have to get someone to help me up, otherwise I am stuck on the floor.
