Here is a wonderfully humorous blog, most likely unintentionally funny, by a 29 yr old with RA.
I love her spirit!

Does anyone else have blogs they visit often?? I have few others that I will post later....all have made me smile and that HAS to be good for me right??

Cheers....Lyn
LyndeeNZ2008-06-22 08:20:28I'm halfway through reading her first page and I think it's great.  Somehow we end up the passive example in a news report on new treatments, or posing for a photograph in the local paper to 'raise awareness' for fundraisers.  There hasn't been a way for us to be the instigators of action or communication on how the world looks from our angle.

Go the web!  And more please Lindee
Here is another.....

I'm marking it in my favorites.  It's good to add humor as part of my treatment.  Thanks for link and thanks SGRA for posting your experiences.  Hiking_galSGRA......you just keep that fighting spirit sweetie!! I am 55 yrs old and had bragged for years that I never swallowed pills for anything, I was so damned healthy!!  Well Geez....Im up to 13 meds per day right now.

This RA knocked me for six practically overnight and onto my own smug arse.
I have had a wonderful 55 yrs orbiting the Sun and my health ( apart from a hysterectomy which meant a life sans children) has been great.
I am determined ( read DETERMINED) to sort this wee matter out to my satisfaction  and that means investigating ALL avenues available to me that will achieve that end.

And I will. My satisfaction will be no sign of RA within 1 year.

So.

Have you looked at Adam DreamHealer (I think) surname is right?) for his views/info on self healing? I know that name DreamHealer sounds so damned ' weird/commercial' and if I were him I'd have given that name away a looooooong time ago but.....someone called him that, he wants anonimity, so its stuck.  He has an excellent reputation, Im not talking about some kind of Quack here!! lolol. I am ordering his books.
I believe we create our own illness's, therefore we have the means to kick their arse outta our lives as well. Look for Louise Hayes book ' Heal Your Body' for good affirmations pertaining to your health problem. I could go on about how health probs disappeared for me on changing my thinking but if you want to know more just PM me here.

Please stay here and get as much info as you can from all the wonderful contributors who know more than we do about this Godawful disease, and contribute your own discoveries.
I am so green re RA...thought it was just a few achey bones in cold weather. Man....have I had a shock!!! lolol.
Never to late to learn anything and Im up for it.
Dont have a choice really.

More power to ya sweetie!! And remember those Gumboots/Wellies for wet pavements huh?

Lyndee, Have you started Tai Chi?  I've been practicing once a week with a group and am enjoying it very much.  My balance seems to be improving a teeny bit every week and I also feel empowered when I leave the class.  I just realized we have the same name, different spelling.......Lindy
