I have another question, has anyone here had any heart/chest symptoms? I've been feeling better mostly these past couple of weeks - I have barely any pain or swelling and more energy but one thing is making me feel really grotty and that's my heart rate. I have a high pulse rate as it is (around 100 resting), but recently it feels really strong, I can feel every throb all over. It races and then it kinda goes clunk, I think this is known as palpitations? In 2000 the doctors in hospital told me I had a heart murmur but that it was nothing to worry about as it would only show when I was unwell. Is that what I'm experiencing now? It's making me feel a bit breathless, dizzy and a bit sick, as well as weak and tired because I feel like I've run a marathon just sitting here.
This is partly what my GP was concerned about a couple of weeks ago but it eased off a little. She checked me for Anaemia and my RBC was okay for me. The only thing that has helped is taking half a painkiller which seems to slow it down a bit, but I don't think I should be taking them for that reason! I'm due to go to TNF clinic on Friday, not sure if I'll be seeing my RD or just his nurse but either way I don't think it's something they want to hear. Back at uni and near my GP in two weeks but not sure I should wait until then?
Has anyone else had anything similar? I'm a bit worried because I know steroids affect your heart, I used to have 6monthly Echo scans but haven't had any in 4 years. Also Still's does affect the organs, including the heart.

I've had a rapid pulse on occasion. The doc has never brought it up. I do take Paxil for anxiety and I think that it is a wonder drug. Pre Paxil, any situation could cause 120 bpm. Do you have any anxiety issues?

I Had a problem with Viox when it was on the market. It sent my blood pressure soaring. I had rapid heart palpitations. Mobic was almost as bad. If you are on any Nsaids, this could be the problem.

BEEN THERE. HAD IT MOST RECENTLY A FEW MONTHS AGO AFTER A BAD FLARE. SUFFERED WITH CHEST PAIN AND/ OR LUNG PAIN. TURNS OUT I HAD A MILD PLEURISY AND HAD MY HEART CHECKED ALSO (ECHO.) iT'S MITRAL VALVE PROLAPSE (HEART MURMUR) WHERE BLOOD SEEMS BACK INTO THE HEART BECAUSE THE VALVE IS DAMAGED. tHEY ARE THINKING THAT THESE nsaids ARE DOING THIS! i WAS PUT ON ZOCAR WHICH ALFTER A MONTH FELT IT WAS BURNING A WHOLE IN MY MUSCLES, AND LO DOSE ASPIRIN....WHICH CAUSED ME TO HAVE A BLEEDING ULCER.......NOT FUN AT ALL. PM ME IF YOU NEED MORE INFO. I'D RECOMMEND AN ECHO.
