Question about Plaquinil? | Arthritis Information

Have you ever taken a dose pak of prednisone while on Plaquinil? I have just about had it with this swelling!!

Anyway i am new at this have been on the Plaquinil about two and a half weeks.

I just can't take it any more. LOL I am sort of joking about being at the end of my rope. However i am getting close to being at the end of my rope.

How much pred are you taking?

I am taking a maintance dose of 10 mg.

Just i am not getting any where with the swelling. It is getting worse instead of better.

I am on Paquinil to and it is not an over night nor over day drug it takes a while but let me tell you I was on it 2 years and changed doctors and he took me off and put me on mtx and I got mono and had to siop all drugs for 3 months because I was so sick and let me tell you I thought it was not doing anything till then then I realized how much it was doing. So you hhave to give it time goodluckYes, you can take prednisone with Plaquenil. I've done it many times before.Millie, Im trying to get off Pred and am feeling a lot of pain right now. Im down to 4mg and taking Plaquenil daily. I'm on Plaq for almost 3 months and not having a lot of improvement but maybe some. I take 10mg pred for flares but seems its all the time lately. Dr recently encouraged me to keep with the Plaq for another 3 months. It can take 6 months. Can he call in something for pain? Anti inflam or pain meds?I'm sure your dr would give you both something for pain and anti inflamm. Give him a call in the morning.
