Hi everyone,

Hey, I'm wondering if there is anyone else out there
on remicade? I know alot of people are using enbrel
and humera and it sounds like it works really well.
So just wondering about feedback from anyone on
remicade...as to if it works for you etc.

Thanks !

Tara

Just saw your post asking about Remicade.  I have been on Remicade since beginning of 2005 and was having a real love affair with it.  I was happy to go in and have the IV because I knew I would get blessed pain relief.  However, between the mtx and the Remicade my immune system went to you know where and the doc took me off both for a while.  Things are looking up and he is starting me on Arava now and I may get back on Remicade if things go well.  I had no side effects from Remicade.

Sewez~what happened exactly with your immune system. I'm on Humira and MTX and spent about a month off of both due to infection.

Curious as to your situation.

Tara:  I have been on Remicade for about 2 years and it has been awesome!  Before I started treatment I was constantly in pain and could barely walk and as soon I started the Remicade the pain went away and I can walk with no problem.  I still have flare ups as most people with RA do and when the time is coming to have my infusion I can tell I am ready for it.  I have not been sick one time during the 2 years - not even a cold.  This medication has given me my life back.  My daughter started on Remicade a little over 6 months ago and it has brought her so much relief as well and she has not been sick either.  Good luck if you are going to start taking it and I hope you have as much success with it as I have. Thanks for the feedback. I have had 3 infusions and
have one tomorrow, and I was just wondering how
others were doing on it. I didn't notice too much
difference the first few times, but did see some
improvement last time. It didn't seem to be as
dramatic results as enbrell seemed to be. Going to
keep on with remicade and mtx for now. Seems like
there has been some good success with it

Thanks again!

I've been on remicade for 5 years. It has helped me although, we have to keep 'upping' the dose.

Someday I suppose it will just stop working and then I'll switch to something else.

That's ok, there is always new stuff
