help from an old woman | Arthritis Information

Now this is depressing. I was at the grocery store after work doing my shopping for the week. I was trying to lift a watermelon out of the bin. My wrists are so weak and painful it just kept slipping out of my hands. An old woman probably in her late 70's was watching me struggle so she says can I get that for you? Let me show you how strong I am. So she lifts it right out and into my basket. I'm a stonecutter she says so I am strong! Thank you so much I said- I have RA and I am weak- I laughed but I felt like crap. She said she was very sorry and felt more like crap.

Then LOL, I had terrible gas the entire trip. What is it from MTX? I was known as Mom the person who never farts now I am a gas machine and does it ever stank!

I kept getting caught. No one would be in the aisle so I'd let it go and then here come the people walking into the stench!

Not a good trip....

Came home and husband is complaining about everything under the sun the moon and the stars....

Time for this night to end. Good Night.
My dad used to work in a hardware store when he was younger... he loved to go into an empty aisle, leave a "stink bomb" and then hang out in the next aisle to hear the reactions when an unsuspecting victim walked into the cloud...
Yeah... I hate whent hat happens.

As for the other, well, let's just say "Been there, done that"  with the same results.  LOL
I have weak hands too.  Usually get help with groceries at the market, have them put few items in each bag for easier carrying, get help putting gas in the car, get help opening bottles.  I am impressed with the number of kind and helpful people.  Thank God.

Why do the hands get so weak? Sometimes they aren't even hurting but they are still weak. During my onset lifting a tissue to wipe my nose felt like I was trying to pick up 100 lbs!I don't know.  It does present some challenges.  That's for sure!!!!

I am intrigued by your "noxious gas" symptoms.  I have never had gas like I have now.  And it smells like an awful chemical.  I am about six months off of MTX, so I don't know.  And its the pits that it hits in the wrists first alot of the time, as mine are starting to go.  I consider this post as part of my exercise routine.  That's ok. Angels come in all forms!  LOL!! Snow, you're just plain evil.  I love it!!!
