Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been off boards for so long.  I just got really frustrated and decided I needed a break.  Anyway, been reading and trying to catch up with what everyone's been doing.

I'm seeing my old internist tomorrow, he finally joined the HMO hospital group I had to switch to.  I'm so excited because he is the BEST, and is the perfect liason for me and my RA.  Even when I wasn't able to see him, and I had that whole tortuous aorta thing in March, he was calling to check on me.

Seems all of my blood chemistry is really messed up from the meds.  Obviously, my WBC is way up, but I now have pred= induced diabetes, my liver function is way way down, and I have that crazy macrocytic/megaloblastic anemia.  Among other things like neutrophils, monocytes, and other immune cells way low.  And my eyesight is now shot. Whatever.

Good news is I felt really good last week for about 3 days!  Then it tanked, and the RD wants me to start Humira 1 x week.  Not too sure if I'm going to do that.  Has anyone else done that?  I'm thinking wouldn't it be smarter to just go to Enbrel.  Well, that's what the internist is going to field for me.

Glad to be back...I've missed you guys!
I done much better with Humira once a week. I would have 3-4 good days then... it was back to being like I was before the shot.

Glad to hear you had a good 3 days last week. Those were probably much needed with all that you have going on.

I hope it all gets straightened out for you soon.

Keep us posted!

Hi Lisa!

Glad you're back and really hoping you feel better!

Hugs,

Pip
Glad you're back but sorry you were frustrated.  Was it something we said? No, no, not frustrated with most of you, just one in particular, and I let it get under my skin, mostly because I 'roid rage, and I vented and what ever....I'm over it.  The person knows who they are, if they even have a memory of it.  But the rest of you, I've missed!

So, anyway, I am leaving tomorrow for Michigan, with 10 of my girlfriends, to South Haven.  Good thing I''ll be there so they can get as pie faced as they want and still have a designated driver.  RA has never been so good for them!

Glad to be back.  I need you guys!
