Anyone  else having any Numbing or tingling after the Humria shots???

I'm new to this site. I have just started Humira last month. I have had 3 injections. The very first injection burned and but not bad. Two days later in the afternoon my pinky, index & ring finger on my left hand started to tingle. By that evening My fingers were still tingleing but I could make a fist with them! I haven't been able to that for 6-8 months. I was very excited that tingleing went way the next day.

Now, my third shot last tues. (every two weeks) Thursday I wore heels for 1/2 hour and then Sat. wore 2" heels 1hour for my Brothers wedding. I haven't wore heels for 3years since my honeymoon. Anyway, Sunday 5days after my 3rd shot my three little toes on my right foot were numb and now just tonight they are starting to tingle. I'm getting my feelling back. Like a when you hit your funny bone tingle.

The right side of my Right foot is were it all started! May 2004. I was just told in Aug 2005, I have erousion in my right pinky toe and starting in the one next to it. SOOO! Thursday was my RA appointment and he said not to worry about the numbness or tingleing it's just the Medince working and restoring. But, let me know if it starts to GO UP YOUR LEG!!! That scared me!

I've been on it since December and in May I started using it weekly verses bi-weekly; and I can't say I've experienced anything like you've described.

Occational numbness or tingling in my fingers especially when they are cold; but that's not new and I don't attribute it to Humira at all.

Hope this doesn't become a serious problem for you and that you continue to have success with Humira.

Lovie

P.S. Welcome to the group. We're glad you're here.

Hi Tmkwik.  I just got my first Humira injection last wednesday.  I have not had any reaction or felt anything yet.  I am very interested in what you posted though, and glad you shared.  Sorry I could not offer anything back.  well, yet.  Hope you will drop by to give any updates if you can?

I post here and at the new board:  www.rafriends.com

you could try posting this over there, also.

Thanks again and hope you continue to improve without the scary part.  :-)

Lovie & Hulagirl,

Thank you for your replies. Today I now only have numbness in my right pinky toe & no tingling anywhere else. Strange!

Hi
the only tingling I get is when I get the injection. That goes away between half hour to 45 mins.

My Rheumy said that he has heard of some tingling but occasional numbing is that the Humira is getting into those bad places & cleaning them out and leaving what my body think is good cell walls.

Tuesday I had my 4th shot, and I have all my feeling back in my toes!It never went anywhere else. However I am not feeling very good this week. I'm very achey body and my left hand fingers are very chrunchy.  I'm hurting in places that I ahven't hurt in along time?

I live in IOWA so we are getting very cold & rainy here.

Peace & Good health!
