If I didn't know better I would swear I am having after birth pains tonight. My youngest is 7 so I know I can rule that out. RA is the culprit. Is nothing sacred?
Jas, it wasn't so much abdominal pain as it was the pubic bone. A very dull persistent ache which seems to be a bit better today. Do you think there is still cause for concern?

If it persists, it wouldn't be a bad idea to run it by the doctor. Especially if it's a new pain. Probably just a pulled ligament or something, but there's so much stuff in there, who knows? Best to be safe.I get pain in my pelvic bones too, anywhere there is a joint RA can make it hurt. Mine is more where the top of the thigh bone joins the pelvis. I don't think I have ever had pain where the pelvic bones join in the middle.

The joint in the middle of the pubic bone is the pubic symphysis. I had pain there when I was pregnant - sometimes it would feel like my pelvis was going to split apart! It didn't help that my pregnancies were less than 3 months apart. It eventually stopped hurting about a year after I got the last boy out of my belly. My OB/GYN said the pregnancy hormones loosen ALL the joints, even the pubic symphysis (normally not a movable joint).
Since then, I've had a bladder infection once that caused pretty miserable pain in that same area. Quite annoying!!!!
