I'm having one of those days where not only do my wrists and hands hurt- it's like they have a mind of their own! I have knocked over, dropped and misjudged distances of things more times today already then I care for. Couldn't even get my pills to my mouth!

I hate days like these!
OK, would that empty bottle of vodka on your counter have anything to do with your problems today?  Hmmmm?

Seriously though, if you can, give yourself a break today.  Why frustrate yourself by trying to do something other than what your body wants you to do?  Of course, it's not a good idea to just give up day after day, but there's nothing wrong with pampering yourself a little from time to time and this might be one of those times.  Relax, read a book, listen to your favorite music.  Whatever will make you feel better.  I give you permission.  [QUOTE=wanttobeRAfree]I'm having one of those days where not only do my wrists and hands hurt- it's like they have a mind of their own! Me too!   I drop more pills than I can get in my mouth on days when my hands are like that, and with medicine cost being what they are the 3 seconds rule gets streched alot when I drop my pills. It's only a little dirt [QUOTE=mom2threeinaz][QUOTE=wanttobeRAfree]I'm having one of those days where not only do my wrists and hands hurt- it's like they have a mind of their own! That's a good tip. This is a bit OT but I have it hard enough dropping pills on my own, but Sunday night one of my beautiful cats jumped up on the counter through my arms while I was putting together my weekly pill box and knocked all of my MTX all over the floor.  We have a dog and a 1 year old and 3 year old so I spent about 15 minutes finding the pills, counting, and recounting to make sure they were all there.  I had gone from 6 a week to 8 a week in the middle of a scrip so the numbers weren't easy to figure out. I have a cat that loves to steal fish oil capsules.  After a few incidents where she knocked over a half-filled pill tray, I now make sure all kids and animals are shut out of the room before I do the weekly pill tray fillup! Jasmine, I do the exact same thing every morning. I hobble my way to the kitchen to make my one (giant)  cup of coffee in my plastic travel mug with lid because I drop, spill, tip, dribble, and generally miss my mouth. I also have my sippy cup of water and my pill tray that I keep in my night stand. Laptop sits at the foot of the bed at night, so in the morning I am good to go. I joke with hubby about getting a small coffee maker for my night stand so I don't have to leave my bed at all until meds kick in. After spilling ALL my pain meds in my bathroom in the sink, down the toilet (didn't fish those out lol) and every nook and cranny of my bathroom in the early days, I put in a locking medince cabinet behind my bedroom door and fill my tray and take my meds in the middle of my bed. Doesn't take us long to figure out new and better ways to do things, does it?

Jesse you are too funny- I haven't started celebrating yet but I plan on it! God help me then!

I'm still at work...hoping that the boss will let us out early since nothing is going on but it doesn't look like it's happening.

Have you tried a hot parafin wax bath for your hands?  It feels so good!

So what happened, did you get out early?

HAND MASSAGE, it's almost as good as a foot massage.  See if you can get someone to give you one, with warm olive oil.  Paradise.   LindyHave you ever had reflexology treatment? I have one schedule for my hands and feet on the 12th, Parrafin treatments afterwards.Hillhoney

I had gone straight to page 2 and didn't see your post.

He let me out 45 mins. early- woohee.

I do have one of those parrafin (sp?)treatment things (I can't think of a name for it, I guess it's my brain today that's giving me trouble.) at home. They do feel good but I ran out of parrafin. Someone told me you can refill it with plain old canning wax. I have to pick some up.
