Does anyone else have baby fine hair they can do nothing with? I use mousse and hair spray to get some volume and to attempt to keep it throughout the day but they don't lend the natural look  I'd like.

Any brands or different products you can suggest?
Mine is fine too, and I've never found a solution.  It has its good days but on the whole I find keeping it very short works best for me.  I have caps and hairbands for bad hair days.  Colouring it with henna did give it bulk but it's too grey for henna now.

I also have a wig for special times.  Believe it or not even my family don't know when I'm wearing it.  They say 'your hair looks nice'.  Just helps for those limp hair days.
My hair is so fine even babies would be embarassed.  Plus now that I have been on Pred its all falling out.  Im sure the MTX will make it even worse.  Jana, how do you go about getting a wig?  I feel sure I am going to need one and Id like one thats not conspicuous hopefully.  Might as well be thinking about it now before I am totally bald.  ThanksLOL patandpaula- I'm on MTX too and although it was coming out alot during shamppoing & styling it didn't cause any balding. I started on Biotin 7500 mcgs about 2 months ago and now only a few strands come out during the same procedure. You may want to try it. I have only found this strength biotin in Walgreens- I have a hard time locating it any where else and if I do it is 1000 mcgs or 5000 mcgs. I want to stick with what works. My hair has always been very fine.  Back in high school/college in the '80s, I of course wanted big '80s bimbo hair like everyone else.  Well, it never quite worked for me!  Now I wear a short bob haircut which makes my hair ook much fuller than when I wore long hair.  I get tons of compliments now; I almost never got compliments on my long, thin rats-nest. My hair is baby fine too and I find the best hair style for me is short also. I use a styling gel called "Tough Trix", I get it from my beautician, and it helps. It adds body when I syle it without weighing it down. It also makes it look good if I get it cut extra short and spikey. Make sure you use a conditioner that won't weigh your hair down either.  I use Dove or Pantene.  Both have a weightless version that's good for fine hair.   Believe, me, I feel your pain!  Jesse882008-07-05 16:58:14So far the verdict is- there is nothing out there!Pureology Volumizing line is good. or Nioxin for thinning hair. They are pricey thoughI JUST bought some new products (I have thin fine hair too) and I'll let you know how they work.. one is a mousse...a nd the other is a spritz.. w/ some waxy volumizer... I will use that at the roots...

 I think it's fruct-something but can't remember
LOL I use the mousse now Fructis- right? It helps me out for about half a day sometimes more if I don't comb my hair again.  I also use V05 hairspray. I wish I could find a hairspray that holds the style but doesn't look stiff.... When I went totally bald on my chemo I actually found it preferable. And I could say I am having a no-hair day! I laugh when people comment on my hair growing back as I still pretty much have nothing to comb.  mab522008-07-06 13:01:03I've have thick, unruly curly hair and find the Garnier Fructis products are one of the few that help.

I've recently started losing a lot of hair - a side effect of Humira maybe?
I'm not worried about it at this stage as I have plenty to spareMy hair is so fine, it is like cornsilk. I absolutely hate it. I use biolage normalizing shampoo and redken conditioner. it is the only thing that keeps it from flying away but i have used everything and nothing puts any body into it. i've given up.there is a product out there called big sexy hair. it comes in a tall red can and it is a root conditioner. you rub the foam on your roots and it does provide quite a bit of body. can buy it at most salons. kind of spendy but worth it for fine hair. Now today with the humidity my usual limp, lifeless hair turns wavy in all the wrong places- just looks lumpy.

I'm going to look for Big Sexy hair!
I wish I could find a hairspray that holds the style but doesn't look stiff....
Ditto. I don't like the stiff hair look either and I have yet to find a hair spray that I like. As far as hair goes mines is very fine and it tangles so easy. I recently cut it short to have easier to manage. I use purology shampoo. It works vest for my hair also it is great if you have color tinted hair. (I gotta hide those grey hairs) It doesn't strip the color. It is a little pricey but it a bottle usualy last a very long time.Another web page has been discussing the same problem and one person mentioned Ojon Revitalizing Mist.  She did mention that it is pricey.  You can check out the website and see for yourself.   Who knew there were so many of us?I've been using L'Oreal Volumizing Shampoo and Volumizing conditioner. They seem to really help. count me in with the baby fine hair..

I color it quite blonde and that actually gives it a little more volume..  Believe it or not I use  just plain suave shampoo, and that doesnt weigh it down.. course in this weather sdweat kills yur hair immediately..

I also wear mine fairly short, a mid neck bob..
