Their title of "new" might be a stretch (I've heard a lot of these before), but there are some good ideas here!

I can vouch for sheets of newspaper under mulch to create a flower bed.  I haven't killed myself breaking up the yard for new bed in years.
some good ideas!OMG!  Lemon juice and salt to polish your copper bottom pans!  I felt like was on an infomercial!

I couldn't believe how well it worked.  I had given up on copper polish.  Too much extra work with not enough results.

I sprinkled the bottom with salt, then rubbed with a piece of lemon that I was getting ready to toss.  The tarnish just melted away.  You don't have to scrub hard, but it did take awhile to get everything off.  If you were flaring, the repetition might be too much, I think.

I can't wait to tell my mom!  If she says, 'oh, I always do that',  I'm going to be mad LOL.

I use ketchup and salt for copper pan bottoms.  Ketchup has vinegar in it.
