I am LOVING B12 | Arthritis Information

my doctor doesn't test for vitamins like most of yours do.  So, i decided to up my b12 and wow what a difference.

I was soooooooooo weak that i would stand to cook and my entire body would just pass out on me with weakness.

I have been on high doses of b12 the past few days and i am already finding myself standing where i normally sat (doing my hair), not taking breaks when i normally do etc.

not to mention swelling in my stomach area and other parts has gone down in my muscles.  I am praying it continues.

So, don't forget your b12, it is very important and tends to be eaten away if you have gastritis and/or autoimmune diseases.

god bless and i pray for you all to find the right meds very very soon.
I take B12 injections about every10 to 14 days. They make a big difference for me too. Do you just take a supplement by mouth? I'm not sure what the amount is. I'll have to go check my prescription. My neruologist prescribed it. He said I could take it about as often as I need it and that works out to be about every two weeks. Mine is pretty low without the injections.Hi Lovie...what amount of B12 do you get every 10-14 days? Do you just go to your PCP? I used to get them years ago along with weight loss medicine. I remember how good I felt!! My husband gives them to me at home. I'll have to check my presciption to see what about I take....I can't remember what it is. Most people go to their doctors office and have a nurse give it to them; but since we're use to the injections since I take Humira they said I could do it at home. Saves time and money.
I'll check the amount and report back. Thanks Lovie...have a great night...you can just pm me. no.. don't PM... we'd all like to know how much is working for you, Lovie..

thanks!!!

eta: how much are you taking, bubba??
babs102008-07-06 09:04:28FWIW, I did some studies on B12. It's a rather misunderstood vitamin. You need very little to stay healthy, but if you are deficient, you probably won't get enough from an average diet or the usual vitamin dosage. It's also synergistic, you need folic acid too. I'm taking one B12 tablet 1000mcg daily now with my other vitamins. I have no idea if I'm deficient or not, but I don't want to find out the hard way. I finally remembered to look at my b12 bottle this morning. I take 1ml of B12. Whatever that means; right? lol
