How many virgins out there? | Arthritis Information

Not me.  RA is my SECOND autoimmune disease.

Graves disease was my first back in 1999.  I wish I had really understood the idea that I was more susceptable to other AI diseases and had taken better care of myself.  While Graves disease didn't turn out to be that bad for me, RA has been a real nightmare.

Man I thought I would NEVER say this again!!!!!!!!! I am a VIRGIN and that's how I want to stay!!!!!!  sorry to hear you're not feeling better. hope your meds will kick in. i agree w/janlee!!! ra is it for me and that is plenty!! I have had Raynaud's since I was 10.  That may be autoimmune (or a sign something is to come...ugh)I am curious as to how many of us have more than one autoimmune disease.  I also have a form of celiac disease (which I think may also by autoimmune) where I am intolerant to gluten, but after 6 months of being really disciplined, I can't seem to stay on the diet.

Thanks for the feedback.

Well so far I have Hashimoto's Disease, asthma and Vitamin D deficiency (which is linked to auto-immune diseases), but no RA.  I have OA, but not RA.
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 1991.  I had no idea or clue what that meant, but I do now.  a virgin here.. except if you want to count that I had JRA/JIA as a child...and RA now.. though the RD hasn't made an official DX, there are strong signs of sjogren's.  He said there's no need cause I have the same compliment of RX for either. Not a virgin here either.  My fibro started 8 years ago, 6 years before my RA.Virgin here. RA since 06/08. Virgin here too. Still waiting for the "official dx" of RA.  I haven't seen the Rheumatologist (next week) BUT I have asthma, allergies and extremely mild Psoriasis.  So I guess I'm chock full of auto immune problems  : )Virgin here - only RA for me at this point.  RA is my only autoimmune disease, but have had allergies since birth and loads of food 'sensitivities' that come and go overnight.  Also get mild asthma some decades and not others.
Hashimotos here too.  It's why I even got tested for RA.  I remembered that I had read in my Thyroid research, that if you have one autoimmune disease you are predisposed to other autoimmune issues. Virgin here....I think.  Just the undifferentiated connective tissue disease, unless vasculitic neuropathy is also considered A/I.  I think it's part and parcel of the same health issue anyway.

Nope, got Hughes syndromw (antiphospholipid antibody syndrome) diagnosed at 32.  Total autoimmune disease.  Also, find myself allergic to almost every drug under the sun, fortunately for me, not any RA drugs.
