Joonie I've been thinking of you and your mom- how did the operation go?Still praying for Joonie's Mommy and Joonie too. How is your daughter doing through all this?Hello Everyone! Thanks for all the prayers or whatever it is you do.

She done well, and all. They weaved the wire for the sturnum. My oldest sister asked what are the chances of it happening again, he said 2-3%.

My sister said that is why she had a hard time breathing. I am telling you... she looked down right bad. I was watching her breath and her chest did not rise much but her stomach did. You could tell she was struggling and in a lot of pain.

When I called to talk to her yesterday before she went in, she sounded so much better and actually talked 2 sentances before inhaling again. Before she could barely get 2 words out before having to inhale again.

As usual... my family FORGOT to call me and tell me how she was doing after her surgery. Yep... they forgot about me the other day. They came thru our town and were heading back to see mom, and they all said they knew they were driving pass my house, but no one thought to see if I wanted to go back to see mom with them.... until they were in the next city. Yep... sad isn't it?

Anyways...

My brother called me on his way to the airport today to give me an update on mom and to say he was going back home.

He said she was doing good, and breathing well. He said she was a bit aggressive. She kept getting irritable. It is because her sugar is still up. He said she was walking around and sitting up in the chair and getting on to all of them. So... sounds like she is doing better. Oh and he said I sounded like I was feeling better. I told him yeah.

My oldest sister told me yesterday... that she went to see mom in recovery after her surgery and mom asked my sister why she was standing on a cloud of pink cotton candy. My sister said a pink cloud? She said yeah you and alan both are standing on clouds of pink cotton candy. Then my sister asked her if there was any blue cotton candy in the room, because she liked blue. Then mom said yes, *pointed to the nurse* she is on the blue.

Then when they got her back to her room and the rest of them were in there with her. She told them she was driving and to get out of her way because she was backing up. My sister said my brother kept messing with her trying to make her "wreck". She told him to stop.

I was like sounds like she was on some good stuff. And  she better watch out for the pink elephants.

I will get to go see her again when she is in a regular room. Right now she is still in CVU for a couple more days then I guess ICU after that... not sure.

So... sounds like she is doing good. But they told me that last time too, and she did not look like she was doing good to me.
Oh, my daughter has been busy, soo... it is not effecting her. Neither of my kids will be able to see her until she gets into a regular room.

My son, was quite upset the other night we went up there. We kept telling him we were going to see Grandma and he never got to see her. He knows where we turn off the 4-lane to go to Grandma's house, and he told us to turn. Then we told him she was not home she was in the hospital. Then when we left the hospital he realized walking back to the car he did not get to see Grandma and cried. We told him he would get to see her soon. He said ok.

He did talk to her on the phone yesterday. He was happy about that. And even had to tell her his big news... that he got to go to church. She was happy to hear that.
