Im still here...somewhere | Arthritis Information

Hey everyone!! I havent been around at all for the past 4 or 5 months. Its been super busy and stressfull in my life right now. I have been checking in off and on to see how everyone is doing. Heres the update on me for those that wanna know...

My grandfather who had quadruple bipass surgery in Feb is FINALLY home!!! He was in ICU for 6 or 8 weeks, then was moved to a rehab facility that worked more on getting him off the respirator *he had to be on it for a good 8 weeks at least*, then he was moved to another rehab facility and was there for a good 8 weeks and finally came home a month ago. The last rehab place is a mix between a nursing home type place and also has a section where short term patients stay. It was nice him being there cause he was closer to home and a friend of mine is a CNA there so he kept a good eye out on my grandfather. He also heard some oh so wonderful stories about me growing up LOL

My RA is FINALLY under control, tho I am flaring a bit this past couple days cause I havent done my shots in 10 days. The past couple days I started having trouble w/ my lungs where I couldnt take deep breaths and i wanted to make sure that stopped before I did my shots again. So far it seems to be good this morning so I may take it tomorrow if my breathing is good today.. If its not one thing its the other eh?

Kelsay had her birthday on Monday!! She is 6 now!! I cannot believe it, it seems like it was just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital and now she'll be starting 1st grade in the fall!!

My best girl-friend had her baby on Saturday!!! His name is Sean Michael, was 7lbs 7 oz. He is the sweetest little boy I've ever seen. It sucks tho cause they live in Phx, so I want to try to save up money for Kels and I to fly out there. Not sure how successful that will be tho.

My hubbys best friend will be moving into our house this comming weekend so that will be a BIG help finacially for us. He will be paying half of our rent and also helping w/ gas, electric, groceries, etc. So that will be a huge weight off our shoulders and we'll be able to get caught up on some bills and such. So that will mean that we will be able to do something really special for Kelsay for her bday. She is a HUGE WWE fan and WWE will be coming to IL August 18 so we are going to get tickets as close to the floor as possible. Its a good thing my uncle is a ticket broker and if we cant get them from Ticketmaster I can just call up him and buy them from him.

Hope everyone is doing well..Joonie I hope your mom is doing better!! I will keep her in my prayers!

Glad to see you back in the fold, LOL! Sounds like you have had a lot going on. Glad you RA is treating you well - in spite of all the stress. How are you doing with the medical transcription training?

So Kelsay is a first-grader now! I know she must be so excited. Does she have a group of friends from school, and know if they are in her class yet? That was always such a big part of it for my kids!

Hi Shannon, glad things are looking up for you. Just wanted to let you know that my little boys are huge WWE fans too, and we went to see them last November, and just recently in June at the Brisbane Ent Centre, so good, so many of the stars came over, Kelsay will love it, lots of cool Tshirts too and the programme is great. Hope she and you have a great time, love Janie. Hey Shannon. Good to see ya back. Glad to hear things are going well and that your Grandfather is on the mend and able to come home.

My friends and I love to go and was wondering where in IL. I am between Springfield and Decatur 21 miles either way. Usually if the come to the PCCC (Prairie Capital Convention Center) in Springfield we go. I have been in a few years cuz' not feeling well, but doing better and would love to go with my girls again!

Cindee, They are going to be at the Allstate Arena Aug 18, in Rockford on Aug 15th, Aug 1st they'll be in Springfield!!! It is so funny how Kelsay is w/ this WWE...She can hardly remember to walk in the house and other things I tell her to do but by gosh the enterance songs come on and she knows exactly who it is and pretty darnned close to their height and weight LOL
We dont know who is in her class yet. We'll know more when we go to school to do registration and such. But she is VERY excited to be a big 1st grader now. SHe said that she was nervous cause shes never been a 1st grader before LOL

I'm still doing my transcription class. With everything that has been going on the past year or so I feel like its never gonna end!!!

Deb, I have been feeling pretty well. My RA is finally under control but still trying to get the Fibro under control, if there is such a thing.
